The Diary of Clarise Vabatan
The diary of Clarise Vabatan is a first person account of the life of one of the most notorious mages from the Time of Terrors, which was found amongst her personal effects after her death in the age of the Second Popular Ascendancy.
The shocking and salacious contents revealed much that had hitherto remained the subject of dark speculation, shedding light on the origins and activities of the secretive Sisters of Vabatan amongst other matters.
The diary is divided into twelve volumes. Each entry can be read using the links to individual volumes at the bottom of this page, or in the table below. There is also a timeline of the mage's personal history sitting behind the timeline button for this article and another timeline for the Sisters of Vabatan as an organisation under the dedicated article for them, which is closely related but subtly different in places.
Note : The individual articles linked below are tagged as NSFW because the text sometimes includes themes of a disturbing sexual nature not suited to all audiences. If you are uncomfortable with this kind of subject matter then you should not open the volumes below. The diary and timeline are currently work in progress. I expect the diary to run to twelve volumes before it is finished but only the first eight of these are published at the time of this update (4th July 2025). Planned but incomplete volumes are shown in the table but the titles are mere placeholders that will only be completed with true links, as and when each volume is finished. I may also change provisional dates and titles during the writing and possibly even edit earlier material in minor ways, although I do not expect to need to do this often. The full story has become a more significant project than I had originally planned and will now take much longer to complete, but I am hoping to finish it this year.
