Melody Harrington was the daughter of Henry Harrington and Aelyra Vint Harrington. She was a research student at the Institute of Magical Analytics when Clarise Vabatan visited in the 33rd century APC. This part of her life story is told in Volume 8 of the Diary of Clarise Vabatan.
Melody's knowledge of how to manufacture Synaptic Unbinding Potion, imparted by her mother, and the suggestion that she might know something even more secret and unique, made her a key player in the conflict between the Sisters of Vabatan and the Unbound. She escaped from both in the infamous Trouble Below in 3231 APC but not before she had shared her knowledge of Synaptic Unbinding Potion with Clarise Vabatan, enabling her to break the Synaptic Squeeze.
After 3231 APC, Melody vanished from public view for a long time but she would re-emerge to play a pivotal role in the history of the world, events which are related in the later volumes of the Diary of Clarise Vabatan.
