House of Fang
House of Fang is the empire's house responsible for the main source of food. Built off ruins of the dead V'nomir monarchy, north-eastern Amber Isle, the castle was seized as the central base, and much of the land and fertile soils were claimed across the island to become for its harvesting job. They are not the only source of food, with many private sectors having their own small farms, or small clan vendors, but by far Fang is responsible for a lot of the bulk trade, especially in products like rice, tea, bananas, livestock feed, and barley. They're also responsible for some botanical and medical trades.
Initially Crowned House Rum would be like the moderator over these events, but a dispute in 174 Common Scholar time had a dispute with Salt over the matter. Fang was employing the aid of Salt for its Minotaur trade or supply system, and Salt was key to sailing to find the market for imports in the first place. Yet Rum was always seen as a middle-management, or seen as reaping the first side-merits of the job, and while some debate does say that Rum is owed its share of merit for the trade, the dispute eventually ended in a division of labor between the Houses. Salt is now owed compensation for work based on sail assistance, or rented vessels and sea protection, while Rum is owed compensation on land and warehouse defenses.
Their colors tend to be red-brown. Their crest emblem is a stalk of golden barley with crossing teeth, and a rice lined base. Their motto "Vladimict Thyon" is actually "Haverstor of Generous Energy" in old Pyritian. All islanders used to speak it, but it was a dying language by the ending period of the civil war, though their regions king clung heavily to its use with enforcement. It is sometimes said that a few key members and traders still teach it, and use it to encode messages or passwords to obscure trade secretly, or merely speak of how to sell a bruised fruit.
Culture
While sharing some in common with their Rum neighbor in island tradition, with a motto even in old Pyritian, Fang became more universal with merchants and outposts often circulating across the whole empire. Their ships were also called upon often for outside trades, like with orcs, humans, or some dealings with the Minotaur route. House of Fang is equal parts a culture of farmers, as much as merchants and small sailors. Without legal authority for a military unit of their own, they often rely on other smaller personal guards, or migrated troops from either Salt or Rum houses - based on an infamous 174csp case that split benefits and rewards of their responsibility.
