Factories often make canned goods, guns, small items and clothes. The majority of the people work in creation, smithing, crafting, writing, drawing etc.

History
Built by the Council of the Third Shields, who sought progress in the world, which had been in a sort of limbo state since the Doom. They wanted people to move forward despite the loss of magic, and created the inner city of farmers to begin working on smaller inventions, inviting others to do the same.
Over time, many more came, bringing their ideas with them. In more recent years, industry has taken over individual crafts, and the Third Shields have almost forgotten their purpose.
