Dancing Lights District

A district in the outer ring of New Avalon focused on bars, dancing and other legally grey zoned activities. Perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise that it is the centre of the outer rings economy.

Demographics

A fairly mixed visiting population, but the majority of people who actually live there are Elves and Tieflings, in addition to a few Humans.

Defences

A few guards, none of which are particularly dedicated to stopping anything other than daylight robbery or murder. Often not even that.

Industry & Trade

Trade: most commonly alcohol for gold, but also a few marketplaces and even a doctor.
One of the more modern inventions that earns the district its money is the various clubs, where you either pay to enter for a night, or a lower subscription fee over more time.

Infrastructure

A few residential houses, but not many and the majority of them hold many people.
A few inns to have people stay in overnight.
A lot of taverns, only a few of which are actually legal.
A few stores, mostly general, one or two weapons and armour shops, and a doctor who almost lost his medical liscence that one time.
A fair few clubs, where the majority of people mingle and the gangs all have varying strength grips on.

Guilds and Factions

The Hearthfire Guild of course has some stay in many of the legal stores.
The Nokrug Family has power in the district, especially in the clubs.
A few of the Goblin Gangs show up to steal shinies because a lot of connections to the sewer lead to the Dancing Lights district

Tourism

People often arrive to visit the clubs, the most marketable feature of the otherwise untrustworthy district.
Other come specifically for the lack of law enforcement there, and some start businesses there.

Architecture

Frequently lopsided and consisting of anything they can put together.
The more glitz and glamour side of the district tries to make everything look nice, all smoothened out edges and magical lights. It won't surprise you to learn that these are mostly built by elves.
