The Rievaulx
A large area of farmland in the central ring of New Avalon, named after the flowing river that once went through it, now diverted into the waterway of the city.
Demographics
Mostly Humans, but it has a good amount of other races living there and farming.
(DM's notes) Unfortunatly, due to their relative isolation from the city, a lot of the more elderly farmers have developed something of a distrust of outsiders. Others are extremely kind and fascinated by the outsiders.

Defences
Pitchforks and a few token guards, who for all their faults, at least aren't in the pocket of The Nokrug Family.
Industry & Trade
80% farming. This is mostly used to feed their own population but a good amount is taken to the middle ring's marketplaces.
There are a few eccentrics making alchemical potions, research or small nicknacks, and people will pay surprising amounts for them.

Infrastructure
Mostly farm houses and plots of farmland.
Oddly enough the Rievaulx is home to a surprising amount of entrepreneurs. Albeit unsuccessful. They mostly live in small run down hovels, or the barns of kindly farmers.
The Hearthfire Guild have been trying to make deals with a lot of the farmers to buy their crops. Some have agreed, but a lot just want to stay independant.

Guilds and Factions
The Hearthfire Guild have been making moves into the Rievaulx, but otherwise it is relatively independant. And therefore extremely boring.
Tourism
Almost none, except for people with too much money on their hands buying the crazy things.
Architecture
Small farm houses and traditional barns, mostly entirely functional instead of decorative. Some have even made Halfling burrows.
