Undersea

The Undersea is a dark underdark saltwater sea of Esau - a underdark watery place of many strange creatures and sights. Also known as The Sunless Sea.

Located between Ru'Mal and Ru'Than.

Undersea is a part of the subterranean realm, inhabited by many different types of creatures such as Duergar, Neothelids, Merrow, Kuo-Toa, Slitherlings, Inkers, Deep Ones, Demon Salties and Aboleths. Ru'Mal extends below the cellars, dungeons and mines of Esau, and consists of caverns, tunnels, settlements and large complexes.

Thought of as the darker (possibly evil) version of The Plane of Water. Although there is a 'sky' of sorts in the Undersea - frequent lightning storms crack across the blackness, above the murky, inky heavily-salted water - which forms into violent waves that crash against the various Stone Stacks, that rise in various shapes, out of the water - hard to spot without some type of night vision.

Limpopo Island

An island which is perfect for the Demon Salties to lay their eggs.
One edge of the Deep Ones Lake is only a thin piece of land before the undersea. An island, home to Duergar, rests about 2,000 feet. This is Limpopo Island - these Duergar worship The Demon Salties that reside in the Undersea.

The Vault Shrine of the Kuo-Toa

The Sunless Sea is a subterranean body of water to the East of the Vault Shrine of the Kuo-Toa, in the Ru'Than. The Vault Shrine of the Kuo-Toa is an hard to reach cavern, containing the infamous Kuo-Toa City of Juldoolmonsolop, on the West Shore of the Undersea. The Kuo-Toa of the city worship and protect the Aboleth named Juldool.
