Underdark continent under Malnax

~ Tunnels of magical darkness links Ru'Than (which lies under the Northern Isle ), The Undersea and Ru'Mal together ~

Ru'Mal is one of the larger parts of the subterranean realm, inhabited by many different types of creatures such as Drow, Mind Flayers, Beholders, Derro, Duergar, Illithids, Myconids, Svirfneblin, Aboleths, and a Demodorgon. Ru'Mal extends below the cellars, dungeons and mines of Esau, and consists of caverns, tunnels, settlements and large complexes.

An empty town, abandoned - no one remembers who lived there - a magical darkness encloses the area - had Gothic-like Abbey to The Plane of Void (now in ruins with dangerous arcane symbols on floor) which elemental used as Portal from The Plane of Void to Prime Material Plane.

* A transmutation wizard has been turning copper into gold and scamming the entire market; merchant selling real Human flesh instead of animal meat;
* A polymorphed demon with amnesia works at the market in the form of the Human and keeps charming everyone he meets without realising it or the fact that he is not really a Human;
* Every day, the same people follow the same path, say the same thing, buy the same produce from the same merchants. Those few travelers who stay long enough to notice, disappear;
* The only bakery stall has put up the price of bread and there is a picket of disgruntled people; * The animal sellers pen has been left open and some baby piglets have escaped into the market causing damage and eating food;
* the rum has gone;


Amethyst Swirls

Caverns
The location of a entrance from Malnax into Ru'Mal - on an island just off Tucalyos - with broken aqueducts pouring water down into streets.
Within these caverns wanders the hound Mischief - from the litter of Kerberos a three headed Hound from the Shadowfell and Desirosa a Phase Hound from The Hells. Mischief has an imposing size, powerful, muscular build, vicious, intense, focused eyes, and a perpetual scowl making her very intimidating. She has one head that is larger in proportion to her body size, and larger canine teeth than most hounds. Her colouring is tan and dark grey with black stripe down back. Mischief has lion's claws and a serpent like tail.

History


The first creature squirmed out from within a mucus cloud during the Elder Days, created by Sharran, was a massive Aboleth known as Joalorr - who made a nest deep in the forming world of Esau - of rubble and murky water. Also, forming the underdark of Ru'Mal.
