Spiral Peak
Spiral Peak is a dormant volcano, which stands solitary, apart form a medium size hill named Polson Hill, on the Northern Isle. It has been inactive for over 1,000 years.
It gained it's name from the spiral (screw-like) layers of the outer mountain.
Most climbers complete the hike up to the top in twelve and a half to fourteen hours. While climbing to the crater rim is permitted with a guide of a local (like those from the town of Castow) - entry into the crater is considered very foolhardy.
The view as people head to the top is stunning. Able to see for miles on miles - to both coasts. Looking down on Polson Hill to Scuttle Bay, and Europia River. Also seeing as far as Castow to the north, and to the south across Echo Woods and Dusk Quagmire. Even can occasionally see across the Bold Strait to Fogi Island.
At base of the mountain, on the south-west side is the Floral Fields - colourful rows of flowers.

The dense woods halfway up the mountain is home to Jackalope - can mimic any sounds it hears, even voices. While sitting around the campfire So'roi starts to sing a tune - there is a chorus of jackalopes, singing from the edge of the firelight. They have beautiful singing voices, akin to a Human male tenor regardless (of the jackalopes' genders), and will sing along with any songs they hears. When chased, the jackalope will use its vocal abilities to elude capture, throwing its voice to trick its pursuers into running a different direction.
Animated Bush
The party notices that they are being followed by a bush, which runs into the forest when they attempt to investigate. If they pursue, they find a goblin and the bush. The goblin throws a pouch of coin at them to make them go away - 1d6 gp 1d10 sp 1d100 cp.Harpies

Mist Giants
Mist Giants are among the largest of giant breeds - standing around 24 feet (7.3 meters) tall - Humans only reach up to knee height. They have heavily muscled frames, with milk-white skin and flowing silver-white hair. While they were incapable of growing facial hair, they were otherwise very hairy. They generally wear no armour, but will do so if deemed necessary.

+ In mist try not to aim at another Party member - very hard to see.
WHITE MIST FUNGUS
* cousin of the Violet Fungus - see Fungus* these Mist Giants eat the fungi twice a day (3am and 3pm) when at there fullest - the rest of the fungi plants defence is to close up and 'duck down' - which clears the air - they remain closed for an hour.
* the fungi has a symbiotic relationship with the Mist Giants - as they grow need plants off the corpses of anything left by the Giants, which the Giants are not inclined to eat flesh.
* White Mist Fungi - cousin to the Violet Fungus - This pale white mushroom uses root-like feelers growing from its base to creep across high mountain peaks floors. It 'breathes' out a steady mist (when in gropus becomes a thick fog) which keeps the area shadowed to their liking. The four stalks protruding from a pure white fungi's central mass are used to lash out at prey, rotting flesh with the slightest touch - the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw, or its skin suffers from cracking, oozing, and gray pallor. While the affliction is purely cosmetic and it does impede creatures abilities - also it does give the area lashes the appearance of one of the Dead. While affected by this curse, the subject suffers disadvantage on all Charisma-based checks and saving throws.
Any creature touched by the stalks are affected - taking a level of Exhaustion for each rotting area.
Any creature killed by a white mist fungus decomposes rapidly. A new white mist fungus sprouts from the corpse, growing to full size in 2d6 days.
THE HUT
100 miles before the hut at the top - 4 totems are found, made from 1 of wood, 1 of leather and 2 of animal bonesThe hut (see secrets) sits just as the peak becomes steeper and more jaggered.
GRATER
The view at the top is only of the grater of igneous rock and magma, as a heavy cloud cover lingers around the very peak, most of the night and day. A few Air Elementals gather within the clouds.Including a Mist Hulk
When magma is ejected by a volcano or other vent, the material is called lava. Magma that has cooled into a solid is called igneous rock.
* A pair of enormous gold Dragons flies over head
Far underneath the mountain runs hot trails of lava, which helps heat the water of the underground Kynym River.
Geography
Polson Hill
Medium hill - 'butte' - 50 meters (164 feet)Butte = an isolated hill with steep slopes on all sides, and a flat top (similar to but narrower than a mesa)

The Europia River runs on the north side of Polson Hill.

The plants growing on the flat top are used in Potions and spell components.original name was "Poison Hill" - someone drawing a map mis-read (whether on purpose or accidently) the 'i" for an "L" - plants are mainly used in poisons
The track up the butte is relatively hidden and rather narrow - on the South-East corner.
