Mount Derkuyu separates the Tuck region into two halves. To the East the terrain is a mix of healthy grassy land, shingle and beaches (some sandy and some pebbly) across Birira Isthmus and beyond to Gert region; and the harsh lands containing Four other moutains, to the tip of Cape Talon to the west. In the storm season is prone to lightning storms and heavy rain, as well as heavy snow of the mountain.

STORM SEASON
In the storm season the closest villages all empty into the town of Kuyu inside the mountain. Lightning streaks the skies brightening up the buildings, and snow can sometimes fall low in middle Winter.
