Mavanish Empire ((Mah-vahn))

The Mavanish Empire is the government holding dominion over the northern half of the Elgian map and is currently industrializing at a rapid pace.   Stretching from the The Kos Mountains to the shores of the The Exapo Ocean, the Mavanish Empire occupies the northern half of the Elgian map. This territory includes the Munahi Desert , the northern mountains, the vast plains in the west, and the Oroseira Mountain Range; as well as several islands in the The Vathys Sea as far as Redshore Island.   The Mavanish Empire is led by its royal family and its Parlement based in the capital city of Lampei. The royal family has blood stretching back to the royals of the pre-andier city-state of Willowwind and has remained in power due to their allegiance with a surviving Pokini specialized for combat named Parado. The Parlement is made up of politicians from across the territory and are chosen by the current Parlement, which is part of why corruption is so rampant within their rank. They act as the political engine for the empire, making policy decisions where the royals are either incapable or unwilling to. However, the royals have the capacity to veto any decisions made by their Parlement or to impose any new decisions over the objections of the Parlement.   The Mavanish Empire was established from a group of survivors of The Andier led by the former princess of Willowwind -named Prota- and Parado. They quickly began to grow in numbers due to the protection offered by the Mavanish from the rapidly growing assimilating force of the Ardetinians. The two groups swiftly found themselves warring over the slowly recovering wastelands, their battles whittling away their minimal populations. The first territory war ended with the Mavanish occupying the northern half of the map a tense peace lasting for the next hundred years until a portion of both territories succeded. Named the Conjoined Kingdom, it barely survived the ensuing onslaught, though they clung to a fraction of their new territory by utilizing a major Wellspring. Many years later, the unrest of culturally repressed peoples boiled over in a series of attacks performed by the infamous Aftoi and her group of terrorists. The soldier known as Oirioas Brightsteel slew the group of terrorists with her band of misfits and has become a cultural hero and one whose legacy has often been leveraged for propaganda. In recent decades the empire has begun rapidly industrializing with the discovery of Refined Sterea. An arms race between the territories is sure to ensue if they continue to push their creation of sterea based weaponry.   The Mavanish Empire is home primarily to humans, as they are the only organic sentients allowed to live inside its borders, though some Elves and Dzakai live out of sight of the government. If discovered, they are likely to be hunted with extreme prejudice.
