Clothing and Armor

Though firearms have not completely made armor obsolete, the days are gone where knights in full suits of shining armor ruled over the battlefield. Very few materials can withstand gunfire, without being too heavy or cumbersome for the average person to wear on their body. However, armor still exists as individual protection against small arms, worn especially by political figures or other important people who need to worry about catching an unexpected bullet.   Some militaries also issue armor to their troops, either as heavier sets to soldiers that need to worry less about mobility or lighter protection against shrapnel or other battlefield hazards. Mechanurgy has also allowed for the creation of some impressive feats of engineering, such as the Walking-Fortress Armor of the IJU Union Forces. For now, armor like this is often more impractical than it is worth, but as technology develops, that may change.

Game Mechanics

Duurn is in TL6, but plenty of holdovers from TL5 still exist, particularly in less "advanced" parts of the world. Generally, any armor that would be appropriate for late TL5 or early TL6 will be appropriate. If you want to consider an option not covered by that, let me know, and we can try to work something out.
