    Lyamael, the powerful leader of the Dôr family, founds the first city and names it after himself. Lyamael City is built around colossal tower known as 'The Beacon.'

    Lyamael of the Dôr exiled the entirety of House Ïlo to the deserts of Varsolaris.

    House Tïr founds the School of Nafine
    Founding

    From its humble beginnings as a school teaching the workings of magic to a student body that mostly consisted of local farmers, Nafine would eventually rise to become one of the top schools of magic in the world.

    Founding

    A breakaway group of scholars from Nafine establish their own school and city, both named Elthing. Elthing was founded underwater and was protected by a magic bubble that provided air for the residents to breathe, and was located at the favoured resting place of a great Storm Serpent named Glengosh.

    Religious event

    A shrine is made of pure gold deep under water in the center of the city to remember Viktoria.

    A student studying dark magic at Nafine cast a spell which brought about the "Long Heat," a heat wave lasted many many years.

    Rising temperatures on land drive people to the undersea city of Elthing, creating a boom period for the city.

    Draconis, Hrassitssar, Morrinda, Tsalindar and Xarka escape a great war by means of a magic portal. Each leads a small group of dragons to Dunia.

    High Chancellor Judo is assassinated during the Festival of the Serpent by Dolgil, the High Chancellor's bodyguard.

    Open war breaks out amongst the dragons for the last time. Untold numbers bystanders die in the crossfire.

    Kamdur arrives in Varsolaris

    The green dragon Kamdur is the first dragon to arrive in Varsolaris.  Kamdur sets up his lair near @Naï territory. Other dragons soon follow and establish their own territories.

    Tensions between the elven houses that have been building for generations break out into a civil war that engulfs much of Varsolaris.

    Frost Dragons and the Aktril are wiped out

    Hrassitssar and the last of the Aktril are wiped out in a coordinated assault by the Earth Dragons and the Flame Dragons, believed to have been led by Draconis himself. Cries for peace intensify.

    The Elven Schism
    Political event

    With the arrival of the dragons, dissent among the elven houses causes their four houses to splinter back on the mainland. When one of the Dark Elf houses splinters to follow Draconis as an avatar of their deity incarnated, the Light Elves also reorganize to give rise to the Sea Elves.

    Glengosh becomes Protector of Elthing

    Elthing was forced to pick side in the Elven Civil War or else. Since Elthing didn't have their own army, they were able to remain neutral by petitioning the Storm Serpent Glengosh to protect their city.

    Nafine wizards learn secrets of Reincarnation
    Scientific achievement

    Wizards at the Nafine School of Magic discover a way to replicate the Reincarnation spell. The research is led by a brilliant wizard named Terryon Terries. Shortly after its discovery though, the spell is banned by High Chancellor Kree.

    Discovery of the Plague's Source
    Plague / Epidemic

    Later generations of the Naï family discover that, while the trees are somewhat poisonous themselves, it's actually small grey bears living in the trees that entire race has a deadly allergy to.

     

    The Invisible Toxic Koala Bears turned out to be the cause, and were discovered when a member of House Naï, delirious from fever, cast the spell Fairy Fire at a random place in the forest.

    House Tïr under new leadership

    A new communist-style government takes control of House Tïr. The Festival of the Serpent becomes a national holiday.

    Metaphysical / Paranormal event

    Blu the archer reveals herself and is angered by what she sees has become of House Tïr. She punishes House Tïr, and in response a full prohibition against magic is enacted.

    Continent becomes more diverse, both racially and culturally.

    Founding

    Mythanar becomes the centre of the trade market. The port city attracts a lot of magical talent and grows to become Lyamael's rival. Mythanar eventually becomes the capitol of Varsolaris after Lyamael falls.

    Though most citizens continue to ride pigs as transport as they have for generations, the wealthy elite make great efforts to have unique steeds.  Leander of the Tïr is seen riding a capybara to a meeting of the houses.

    "Mad Max" of the Ïlo hides his magical stash in an arena called "The Thunderdome"

    Kamdur attacks Lyamael and takes it over as his nest/lair. House Dôr suffers a loss in status that they never recover from. Mythanar becomes the new capitol.

    Elven Capitol move from Lyamael to Mythanar

    The Elven capitol moves from Lyamael to Mythanar. Lenna, the last heir to Lyamael's Golden Crown, refused to give the crown to the city's leader Lancaster and escaped the city with it through an underground passage to an Underground city.

    The Beacon falls, and with it towers across the continent collapse to the ground per Lyamael's decree.

    With the depletion of mana, magic is harder to perform and plants and animals across the land suffer.

    A fog/mist covers the land night and day and is causing magic spells and items to not work. Cities develop runes to try and protect from it.  The civilization hid magic items underground or in vaults with traps and runes to protect them from thieves as well as the mists.

    Civilization on Varsolaris comes to an end and the last ships leave.

    Scholars have searched for the supposed Underground City, but have never found more than a cluttered basement. There are rumours of places where great works of magic still take place and still hold a great deal of magic even though magic has declined in the land.
