The Beacon falls, and with it towers across the continent collapse to the ground per Lyamael's decree.
Shortly after Kamdur took over Lyamael and claimed it as his lair, The Beacon, the great tower of Lyamael, collapses to the ground. When the city was founded, Lyamael (the leader of house Dôr who named the city after himself) decreed that no tower in the land would be taller than his own. Apparently, those words carried more weight than just mere bluster, as every tower across the continent collapsed shortly therafter.
