Lyamael of the Dôr exiled the entirety of House Ïlo to the deserts of Varsolaris.
As mighty a ruler as he was, Lyamael did have a destructive character flaw - his pride. He decreed that no tower should be larger than his own. Angry at the Ïlo family for violating that decree and fearful of the prophecy of the Ïlo Golden Age, he managed to convince the rest of the elven leadership that the house Ïlo would be exiled into the Desert.
