2nd Respitesday of Fading Spring, Second Age 1853: The settlement was busy this past week with many projects that people worked on coming to completion. Under Nymeria's direct supervision, they have cleared all rubble immediately around the current center of the village, making room for the future constructions. I've heard talk about supporting trade taking priority, and while I understand the need, I keep hoping we will be able to establish a proper library soon. I have been spending days walking up the hill into the small one under the temple in the meantime. On one such trip I saw Zaelith and Malakar discussing something near the entrance so I stopped to listen in. Malakar asked me about finding the most accurate version of historical events, so I had to explain to him that it's not so simple as to find one book, but that it takes a process of cross referencing and comparing written accounts that can sometimes take months or even years to complete. It seems like he is seeking information about something very specific, but he didn't elaborate and I didn't press. I will tell Isenara and she can ask him, yes that will be better.
5th Respitesday of Fading Spring, Second Age 1853: Since Isenara returned, we have been busy building some device. She explained she wanted to build something based off of the principle of lightning rods, allowing to capture and direct the power of a primal maelstrom. I dug deep into my knowledge of arcane and primal powers, while she built the device. It took the better part of the week, but we created something marvelous if I do say so myself. I would love to see it in action, but would also prefer to stay as far from uncontrolled primal magic as possible. Isenara's stories will have to do for now.
