1st Respitesday of Winter’s Chill, Second Age 1853: Back in Hithfaer, Lady Aria shuffled the council—Zaelith’s now Magister, Aelorna’s Emissary, and Isenara's got the Treasury, though I'm sure she's going to need my help with the books. It wasn’t a shock; Aelorna’s a natural with outsiders, and the Treasury suits Isenara's plans to shape things from within possibly better than her previous role. I met with Ilador, our first merchant, who’s earned a bigger role after betting on Lady Aria. We had a good talk—his insights could be useful.
Isenara went to see Zhyrissa, handing her the venom sample from the ruins. She’s got the time to poke at it, and I’m curious if she’ll find a defense against it or something more. There wasn’t much, but knowledge is its own reward. I enjoy seeing those two interact, Isenara deserves to be happy. I can only hope we will be able to solve our predicament in a way that will work out for everyone.
The townsfolk got loud about needing a tavern. Lady Aria shut it down fast, and I watched Daereth step up with the militia. His usual chill turned sharp, almost eager for violence. The crowd backed off, but I wonder how far he’d have gone.
2nd Amerysday of Winter’s Chill, Second Age 1853: A small boat brought Lorelei, a moon elf from Lady Lothithil, with news on Luthais. She swapped info with us—his movements match our guesses, and she hinted at his next move. He fled Lothithil lands, but why he stirred trouble there’s still a blank. A coup just for a cozy hideout? Doubtful, especially with his time in Loristia.
3rd Vaeraleusday of Winter’s Chill, Second Age 1853: I've been caught up in Lorelei’s pre-Sundering tales, and I’m loving it. Those old stories might hide something we can use, and I’m all ears for what’s buried in them. She says they are stories that Luthais told, and given what we've learned so far, it's quite possible they are first hand accounts from his own memories of his past incarnations.
