Robin School
One of the most famous soldiers of the kingdom is the Robin, a Longbowman, whose skills with the longbow defined many of Ingoakore’s victories.
Composition
Equipment
- Longbow: The forest longbow is a powerful weapon, capable of shooting arrows up to 250-300 yards. Robins are trained from a young age to have incredible strength and accuracy.
- Arrows: Arrows have barbed tips, ideal for penetrating armour or causing severe wounds.
- Light Armour: Robins often wear gambesons (padded armour) or jackets of plate for protection, though they need to maintain mobility for rapid firing. Helmets such as the kettle helm are common.
- Dagger or Short Sword: In close combat, Robins rely on daggers or short swords, though they are not as heavily armoured as knights or infantry.
Tactics
Robins are famous for their volley fire tactics, raining arrows down on enemy forces from a distance. This could decimate knights and infantry alike.
