Paraore

Paraore, or fried bread, is a simple and delicious bread often enjoyed as a treat.  

Instructions

  1. Mix the dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Gradually add the warm water, mixing to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, until smooth.
  3. Shape and fry: Divide the dough into small portions, shape into flat rounds, and fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve warm, with butter, jam, or honey.
