Maša
The backbone of the Manawa military, foot soldiers who made up the majority of the army. They are divided into light and heavy infantry, depending on their weapons and armour.
Composition
Equipment
- Spearmen: Carry long spears and wooden shields covered with leather.
- Archers: Equipped with composite bows or simple self-bows (wooden bows), along with quivers of arrows made from reed shafts with flint or bronze arrowheads.
- Swordsmen: Use short, straight swords (bronze), or the iconic sickle-shaped sword known as the khopesh.
- Wear minimal armour, often just linen tunics and leather straps, though some have bronze or leather helmets.
- Shields are oval, made of wood and leather.
