Seven Isles
The perfect middle ground of the city, metaphorically and literally. The closest you can get to a middle class lives on these seven islands and all walks of life can be found here. Rich enough to never go hungry or want, but humble and stretched enough to not be able to afford the luxuries of the upper class. Nearly every isle has several inset gondola piers that allow access up and down the river and all across Knotside. Homes range from the boarding houses like those in the poorer districts to large two story homes and businesses with basements. Each Isle is like its own racial and economic ecosystem, one isle may be centered around adventurers with smiths, suppliers, taverns, and guild houses set up to support even the most renowned adventurer. Another may be based around luxuries, jewelry, silk and linens, perfumes and makeup, with salons and boutiques. Anyone could enter the seven isles and never have to leave while in Knotside, all their needs met by the Isles and its inhabitants.
