The United Alliance is a multi-planetary federal government within the Realm of Avalon, formed as a unification effort among humanity's disparate colonies and homeworld in the wake of a centuries-long fragmentation era. With Earth as its political and cultural nucleus, the Alliance was created to stabilize interplanetary relations, standardize civil rights among human populations, and provide a unified military and diplomatic presence throughout Avalon, then, the Milky Way.
It operates through a centralized federal structure while permitting significant internal autonomy for member planets, systems, and colonies.
Structure
Chancellor of the Alliance: Chief Executive and diplomatic figurehead, elected by the Senate.
Alliance Senate: Elective representative body with elected senators from each member planet or major system.
Executive Ministry: Bureaucratic apparatus led by appointed Ministers overseeing Defense, Infrastructure, Health, and other departments.
Judicial Core: Interplanetary court structure, including the High Court of Avalon, planetary courts, and military tribunals.
United Ranger Core: The Alliance’s primary military and exploratory arm.
Culture
A culture grounded in post-national unity, diplomacy, and institutional trust. Alliance citizens are generally secular, cosmopolitan, and civic-minded. While individual planets maintain cultural distinctions, the overarching identity is centered on democratic governance, interstellar cooperation, and human sovereignty within the Realm of Avalon.

History
The United Alliance was founded approximately 1500 years ago when Earth re-established contact with its human colonies following the Collapse of the Old Stellar Commonwealth. Initially a diplomatic agreement among three core worlds, the Alliance expanded rapidly into a formal federated body. Earth was recognized as the capital, with the establishment of the Alliance Senate and Executive Ministry. Throughout its history, the Alliance has fended off separatist movements, regional conflicts, and most notably, decades of cold hostility with the Gala Gonian Hegemony. In recent years, the rise of the Sapphire Empire led to the Alliance being integrated as a federal subject, maintaining internal sovereignty but ultimately subordinate to imperial law.

Diverse but human-only polity. Populations vary by planet but Earth, Nova Eridani, and Aequinox host the largest urban centers. Estimated 12 Trillion citizens across 167 sectors.

All member territories are voluntarily federated under Alliance oversight.
