Wild Gods
The Crann, or Wild Gods, are the rules of the world made manifest. They're among the most powerful Fae, and before Aine's ascension, were among the only Gods commonly worshiped across several millenia.
'Wild God' is a fairly recent term granted to them by scholars; referring to the fact that they're manifestations of nature rather than a mortal deity -- and not at the same level of power as a Broken God.
Worship
The Worship of Wild Gods has always been, and still is a very common practice across the world outside of humanity. Many races venerate some sort of Wild God as their deity, with very few rare exceptions. Unlike most Gods, the Wild Gods all live on the world as actual entities that can interact directly with their mortal worshipers. Likewise, they can die or suffer injuries like any mortal can, but are far too powerful to be hunted openly. Worship of a Wild God is typically done with mutual benefit; they ask their followers to perform specific rites or rituals in their name which allows them to both grow and survive in the world. Fae, after all, require very specific functions and climates to exist, be it through ritualistic reverence or simple tasks that act out their desires and function. In exchange for worship, Wild Gods bestow boons or blessings that help their followers; typically in ways that have to do with their sphere of influence. It is common for Wild Gods to not be directly worshiped, per se, but to be idly dealt with through transactional favours or brief moments of thanks so that they may bestow their blessing in exchange for acknowledgement. Every Wild God is different from one another; and as the world changes, more of them both manifest and weaken with time.
