Savren

Savren is the capricious Wild God of secrets, knowledge -- and paradoxically, conspiracies and lies.   Savren is an unpredictable deity that offers truths beneath webs of spun lies that all miraculously benefit him. He schemes endlessly, for every scheme will weave new knowledge.   Savren is closely associated with all the knowledge and secrets that can be found in the world. While curious scholars are often known to invoke his name in order to earn guidance or lost lore, Savren's unpredictability has lead to him being somewhat taboo in professional circles. Although not outwardly malevolent with his intentions, his tendency to spin his offered knowledge into dangerous conspiracies only cements him as an Asura moreso than a traditional Wild God.

Depiction

Aptly named the Old Crow Savren a monstrous figure in gigantic robes that cloak all but his head. He has the wrinkled head and neck of a vulture with a gnarled beak that's said to be capable of chewing knowledge out from consumed corpses.

Crow's Mark

Savren's symbol is often stamped on wax seals or left with paint. It's a broken circle that frames a crow's head with a long, hooked beak.

Worship

While tempting to young scholars, most professional circles deem him too mad to rely on. This is because most of the knowledge and information he offers is purposefully designed to lead people into seeking more knowledge that will only continue to leave them lost in an eternal search for information that they may never find. Only the mad would truly seek him for secrets; as is commonly the case.   In spite of his unreliability, he's very popular among Alchemists, Apostate priests, or people that are seeking to find the secrets of magic. While Savren is very slow at offering genuine power to people that seek him for this, he does ultimately grant his followers magical powers that will one day develop into the magic that they seek to desperately find.
