Solar Sail

Solar sails are a method of propulsion in space that takes advantage of the fact that light has momentum. By bouncing photons off a reflective surface, it is possible to adjust orbits. Solar sails were most popular during the Spacefaring Age and died out in popularity after the invention of the crystal engine. Keels derived from deep space leviathan allow more freedom of navigation and has triggered a resurgence in the popularity of solar sails.
