Suðriey

Suðriey, or Southern Island, is a rugged and windswept island located off the northwestern coast of Skogheim. The island is separated from the mainland by Drekihauss Vík, a deep bay that cuts into the coast. From the northern coast of Suðriey, one can see the distant island of Norðriey.   The island's climate is harsh and unforgiving, with strong winds and frequent storms, especially in the mountains. The vegetation is sparse, with only the hardiest plants able to survive the harsh conditions. The island is covered in a dense forest, but the trees are stunted and twisted due to the constant exposure to the elements.   A shallow reef, known as Grárhar Rif, stretches between Suðriey and the nearby island of Ein-Maniey. This reef makes navigation between the islands dangerous, especially in stormy weather.   On the northern coast of Suðriey lie the ruins of an ancient city, destroyed during the Chain Breaker War.   There are persistent rumors about Suðriey, tales that speak of the island's dark and haunted past. It is said that the island is cursed, and that those who die there are trapped, their spirits forever bound to the land.
