Skogheim
Skogheim is a land of stark beauty and harsh conditions. Its vast forests, towering mountains, and frigid climate make it a challenging place to live. Long, cold winters and short, cool summers dominate the continent, with snow blanketing much of the land for most of the year. Only the southern coastal regions, warmed by ocean currents, offer a respite from the relentless cold.
The evergreen forests of Skogheim are a sight to behold, their dense canopy of hardy pines and firs stretching as far as the eye can see. These forests are home to a diverse array of wildlife, including bears, wolves, elk, and countless smaller creatures. However, the beauty of the forest is often overshadowed by its harsh realities. Travel through Skogheim's forests can be treacherous, with dense undergrowth, treacherous terrain, and the ever-present threat of predators.
The mountains of Skogheim are a formidable presence, their jagged peaks piercing the sky. These ancient ranges are a testament to the continent's geological history and provide a natural barrier between its various regions. The mountains are also home to a variety of wildlife, including mountain goats, eagles, and other creatures adapted to the harsh alpine environment.
Despite the challenges, Skogheim is not entirely devoid of human life. A handful of small settlements can be found scattered throughout the continent, each clinging to the edges of the vast wilderness. These communities are often isolated, their inhabitants relying on hunting, fishing, and gathering to survive. Many of these settlements worship Hjarn, the god of the hunt, and Mosi, the goddess of the forest.
