The Indigois and Azuarai arrive and begin building their settlement.
The History of the City of Brismais in Irynia.
As the Brismaisans begin to expand their fishing grounds, they come into contact with the Tamise merfolk clan.
During the final stages of the city wall's construction, a devastating avalanche causes several deaths.
Lindan, encouraged by his council, takes a number of political actions that make life harder for Azuarai citizens. A gold mine is opened near their holy circle, despite their protests. As a result, many Azuarai citizens become ill at ease and begin constructing their own district outside of the city walls.
A stone shortage leads to workers being diverted from the gold mine to harvest more. As a result the mine closes.
Lindan Crayfoot and the Brismais Council found The Rose Guard, who directly report to them. They hold a superior position over the city guard, who are mostly citizen volunteers.
The Saw-Scaled Vipers, a nomadic group of aggressive bandits, find Brismais and are immediately attracted to the more vulnerable homes outside the city walls. They attack numerous times over several years before they finally move on.
The Indigois leadership's refusal to help the decimated Azuarai district rebuild leads to a rise in anger and resentment, leading to the Azuarai district becoming more independant.
Lindan Cragfoot dies after a short illness. The power vaccuum causes intense confusion, and several members of the council try to claim his position. Ultimately, Myran Grimhook, who has control over The Rose Guard essentially intimidates their way into the prime seat.
Myran Grimhook claims to have been contacted by a benevolent oceanic deity named Zaddhendaz. He orders temples built to this new god, and pushes the population to worship him. Some obey, reluctantly. The Azuarai district continues to expand and gain in independence.
Myran Grimhook orders the building of The Crystalstar Theatre. He claims that their god, Zaddhendaz has commanded that it be built in order to expand the creative horizons of their people. Construction takes several years, but results in the creation of a beautiful theatre in the seafront district, which holds crystal tanks inside, behind which swim strange but beautiful fish, which flash multi-coloured lights.
The Azuarai develop a new way of treating the wood they log and work with from the local woods. This new treatment makes the wood particularly suitable for creating magical items with, as it soaks up enchantments more easily. Word quickly spreads, and the Azuarai establish important new trade with several cities that have resident mages.
The Icy Weave take note of the Azuarai 's new wood treatment, and send several operatives to work themselves into Azuarai society in the hopes of gleaning information about their secretive method.
Myran Grimhook orders the construction of a large neighbourhood along the seafront, despite the land not being the best for building. He claims it is necessary to accommodate the city's growing population.
Helena Brindlecore, the tiefling who has been the leader of the Azuarai for seventy years, and was instrumental in helping the Azuarai create their own district and separate themselves from the Azuarai, dies of old age. She is mourned heavily throughout the district, and calls start to be made for a formal declaration of independence to be made from Brismais in honour of her passing.
The new leading council of the Azuarai district, if somewhat informally, are keen to find more sources of income in order to help the district become fully independent from the main area of Brismais. Further exploration of the area surrounding the woods results in discovery of a cave system deep under the forest, where arcane crystals, the luminau grow. The leadership try to keep the existence of these crystals secret while they try to work out what they could be used for, but the spies of The Icy Weave quickly find out.
