Tetra Liamion (a.k.a. Icebane)
Tetra Liamion is an enigma; one of the most statistically unlikely adventurers in an already uncommon group. He breaks many precedents set by sea-elven society: He's an arcane caster, he wears and forges metal, and can spend extended periods of time on land. Even his phenotypic features, silver eyes and blue skin, are relatively uncommon. He holds to the ideals of Ravnica's surface elves, a much faster paced lifestyle than the sea elves or the elves of Faerun. And stranger still, an Izzet league lab mishap has left him on a plane of existence separate from his home plane. He has allied himself with the adventurers he encountered in his first days on Faerun, and uses their exploits to increase his own magical skill, hoping one day to be able to travel freely between the two planes. He fights with a combination of arcane spell casting and magically augmented weapon attacks, and is a skilled artisan in many crafts, earning his reputation within the Izzet league for his skill with magical armor. When travelling over land, Tetra is accompanied by a mechanical drake, called Buster, which he salvaged from the ruins beneath Crumblestone keep.
Physical Description
Tetra's many years in the Ravnican Undersea and Izzet Laboratories have granted him a measure of physical capability slightly above that of other wizards. He's moderately dexterous and well suited to quick maneuvers underwater and dodging explosions from failed experiments.
Tetra has blue skin accented with a silver stripe pattern, well suited for underwater camouflage. Like other sea elves, he has gills visible on his neck and over his ribs, and has longer fingers and toes than the average humanoid with a thick webbing between them, designed to propel him through the water and help keep his grip.
Tetra's face is as angular as any elf's, but with the much stronger and larger jaw of his sea-elven kin, lined with pointed front teeth and large molars in the back. Tetra's is slightly more pronounced, given that his favorite food is crab (the shells are a bit harder to break through). He has silver eyes, a rarity among the sea elves, but more common amongst his family (hence, his family name, Silverdew). His hair is a sea-green color.
Tetra's left arm was very forcibly removed in defense against a pirate raid on Nidavalier. As a testament to his skill as an atificer, Tetra has replaced the missing limb with a fully functional metallic replacement. His "Arcane Armament" model is fully waterproof, fully articulated, and just as accurate as his old arm was. It currently has a targe that flips outward from his forearm, and is fitted for futher upgrades in the future. As mentioned before, Tetra's silver eyes also serve as easy identification.
Following a magical mishap with a poorly enchanted magic missile wand, Tetra had a lewd tattoo of a mermaid magically etched into his right hand. He still hasn't found a way to get it off.
Tetra is well versed in matters of the arcane, being both a Wizard and an Artificer. This is uncommon for a sea elf, and more uncommon still is his standing as a wizard. Rather than specialize in one school of magic, he studies all of them, and is able to call forth the magic of the realms without guiding it into a specific spell in a practice he calls reckless magic. His ability to stay above the water for as long as he does is also notable: when he rests, he chooses to do so underwater if he can, but is able to adventure for several days without being fully submerged (his armor helps to some degree but holding on to some water after it is taken onto land, but the resilience is impressive nonetheless).
A magic bracelet on Tetra's arm allows him to instantly swap between two outfits with only a thought. Normally, Tetra wears comfortable but finely crafted wizards robes. Nice enough to denoted his status, but not too flashy or large as to get in the way of his work or his swimming. When adventuring or in combat, Tetra adopts a far more intimidating outfit: his Amplified Arcanomechanical Armor (a suit of half plate that enhances his own casting capabilities), paired with an impressive horned helmet he recovered from the 9 hells and the very axe that removed his arm on Nidavalier. In either state, Tetra's equipment is stored in a few pouches and a bag of holding, and he wears a deep blue cloak with silver accents that match his own strip pattern.
