Life, Identity
Tetra's introduction to magic and the wider world.
None of this stopped Tetra from wandering of and trying to see as much as he could though. To him, the life of a sea elf moved a bit too slowly (even though he was barely into his 50's and elves live for several centuries). Realizing the futility in trying to restrain Tetra, his mother (a cleric of Deep Shashelas), tried teaching Tetra magic to help defend himself against some of the more dangerous inhabitants of the undersea. After all, nothing scares of a sanhuagin quite like magic. But try as he might, clerical magic just wasn't something Tetra had a knack for. Tetra wouldn't be bested though, and in his efforts to go and see the world he found an alternative: arcane casting. The practice is very rare among sea elves, but Tetra was able to decipher some of their last wizard's notes and learned how to cast a few basic cantrips and spells. Thus, Tetra was finally allowed to explore on his own.
