The First Age, The Age of Creation

    Creation of the Dwarves
    Founding

    Fifth of the great world trees Li'tenar rose from the sea and with it the great crystals and rocks that today form the crystal peaks. While considerably smaller than the largest world tree Li'li'kar, Li'tenar was gifted the power to create new life and it used this power to fill the mountains with a hardy people that could survive the harsh weather and climate of the northern tip of E'ath. These creatures are today known as dwarves, born from rock and gem.

    The Exile March

    As the dwarves dug ever deeper and grew more numerous many began to question the way they been doing things and some even began forming factions in hope of creating change. This first came when a faction noted that they never seemed to get closer to the light in the mountain no matter how much they dug.

    Crowning of the First King of the Crystal Peaks
    Political event

    After the dissident groups got thrown out of the mines there now was only a single group of guards left ruling everyone else. This group was known as the Crystalguts and soon took it on themselves to guide everyone.

    Discovery of the Deep Sea
    Discovery, Exploration

    After more than 200 years of digging the dwarves of Du'gar finally reached a lower point where they could not continue. As they dug ever deeper the floor gave out to a drop of a few hundred meters into a huge flooded cavern.   The first dwarves to discover this cavern fell into the sea and were never heard from again and since then many more dwarves have disappeared trying to explore the cavern and the water it hosts.

    The Subjugation Wars
    Military: War

    As the focus on getting to the source of the light deep underground slowly faded away, it got replaced by a focus on strengthening the position of the Crystalguts. This took the form of placing ever stricter checks and reportings of everything that happened in the border. This however lasted only a few decades before it began to spill over the borders.

    The Curse Wars
    Military: War

    After power over the Crystal Peaks had been consolidated the Kingdom of Du'gar soon turned their sights on the forest south of the mountains. Although not many minerals could be mined from here, many of the trees and their crystal growths proved great for casting curses.

    The Rise of Li'sin Ar
    Population Migration / Travel

    With the rise of Li'sin Ar and the great evil it brought along many of the Kingdom of Du'gar where ready to take up the fight. While they did so many of their vassals however saw the chance to defect and move to the newly created Isles. Here they settled down and created a great dwarven city that would become Du'hra with the dawn of the second age.

    Retaking the Refuge Woods
    Military action

    As the great evil got sealed and people returned home Garhun Crystalgut II began consolidating the land around him. During the war, he had what little land was previously gained of the Refuge Woods. Claiming that the world trees had only stopped the war in preparation for the great evil, this forest was now ripe for claiming.

    Settling of Sin Ar Isle
    Population Migration / Travel

    During the war against the great evil, the Holy Order of Druid had forbidden anyone from settling on Sin Ar Isle, as they were unsure what the new world tree would do. However, now that the war was over and Garhun Crystalgut II saw that they were not going to do anything about the Refuge Woods, he decided to push his luck and take Sin Ar Isle for himself as the druids were slow to study the new world tree.

    Conquest of Midway Island
    Military: War

    After ascending the throne Hadrol Crystalgut I wanted to replicate his father's successes. This had him looking for land to conquer and after a long drawn-out war, he finally managed to take hold of Midway Island.

    War of Kunar Island
    Military: War

    Although his father and his father before him had failed to expand the kingdom of Du'gar, Tharnred Crystalgut II had greater ambition. He had inherited a kingdom that was far more stable and rich than most other countries in E'ath and he intended to further the country's glory by conquering Kunar Island, a task in which he would ultimately fail and smash the kingdom against.

    Revolt of Du'hra
    Revolution

    With the losses in Kunar Island Tharnred Crystalgut II spent the rest of his life trying to keep the kingdom together. When he died, however, the kingdom only fell further into chaos. Seeing the weakened state of the capital city of Du'gar, those who lived on the Sin Ar Isles did not want to get dragged down as well so they revolted to stay out of the inevitable conflict that would soon happen within the kingdom of Du'gar.

    Secesssion of Midway Island
    Revolution

    After the revolution of Du'hra, it became increasingly difficult for the kingdom to keep control over Midway Island. This only got worse as Du'hra got more wealthy and could enforce its borders against the kingdom. Eventually, it became too expensive to collect even taxes and the island seceded away from the kingdom.

    The Holy Order of Druids Take Back the Refuge Woods
    Diplomatic action

    After Zemos's death, the Holy Order of Druids had to give up many things as a show of trust towards the gods. One of the things was the acceptance that the gods would take back the Refuge Woods. However instead of letting the gods do so themselves the druids took an active stance and bought it from the Kingdom of Du'gar, and then gifted it to the gods themselves.
