Creation of the Dwarves

Founding

Fifth of the great world trees Li'tenar rose from the sea and with it the great crystals and rocks that today form the crystal peaks. While considerably smaller than the largest world tree Li'li'kar, Li'tenar was gifted the power to create new life and it used this power to fill the mountains with a hardy people that could survive the harsh weather and climate of the northern tip of E'ath. These creatures are today known as dwarves, born from rock and gem.

With the rise of Li'tenar the dwarves too rose from the crytals of the crystal peaks that had been raised from the ocean by the world tree. Some scholars argue that the dwarves had already lived for a longtime in caves beneath the oceans but most now accept the theory that the world tree itself created them.   The dwarves found the mountains to be beautiful and desired the gleam that they saw deep within them. As such they began mining further and further down, believing the light to come from increasingly deeper depths. In the end they settled in their mines having reached so deep that most dwarves born in the lowest shafts would never see the sky. In their journey however they had found many riches and created a large society.
