Village of Hope
Hope boasts basic amenities such as a warm tavern, cozy inn, general goods store, a simple apothecary, and a peaceful chapel. Despite the occasional questionable character who passes through town, most of Hope's inhabitants are good-natured, welcoming folks who make a point to look out for their fellow neighbors.

Government
The Alderman oversees most of the day to day operations of running the village as well as prosiding over minor civil and criminal cases. The local guard handles incarceration and protection. For any major crimes, the suspected criminal is transported to Georgetown for trial.
Defences
Hope Guard Barracks: The Guard Barracks are commanded by Lt. Jackson Merryweather, a human in his 40s, who leads a small garrison of twenty soldiers of Haven. They are rarely called upon to do much soldiering and typically do military drills or help maintain the village and the Haven Wall. They also maintain and supervise any prisoners in the village.
History
The quaint village of Hope sits snugly by the central gate in the sturdy wall that once protected Haven from the fearsome Orcish army during the devastating The Orc Wars . Founded by an Orc and a Human who sought to put aside their differences and build a haven for travelers.
Points of interest
- Barren's Goods: A shop run by Aldo Barren, a half-elf who sells a variety of items at fair prices. Aldo can be difficult to deal with if insulted, but is willing to haggle to a point.
- Rewyn's Emporium: A shop owned by Rewyn Seval, an elven woman who carries basic apothecary items and sometimes strange oddities.
- The Iron Gauntlet: A forge run by Gruden Kegjaw , a surly dwarf who can often be found hammering away in his forge. Gruden is covered in soot and grime, and has a terrible burn scar on the left side of his face.
- Hope's Delight: A local tavern and eatery run by Ferrin and Cyran Luric. The tavern serves lunch and dinner, and offers a selection of refined spirits in the evening. The Delight is also a great location for hearing great music.
- The Broken Tusk: A tavern that also serves as the local inn for those seeking accommodations. The owner and proprietor is Azok The Silent, an orc who mostly keeps to himself. The second floor contains two separate common rooms, and the large basement offers individual rooms.
- Hope's Chapel of Releous.: A small chapel run by Nolden Tully, a human cleric of Releous. Nolden is a retired adventuring cleric, and can be gruff but also charitable.
- Livery of Hope: A stable owned by Chadry Stonefield, an elderly human man who will sell or stable horses. Travelers can also pay for a one-way horse to a connected stable.
- Hope Market Square: The central location for the weekly market, where farmers and crafters from around the local area sell their foodstuffs to travelers and locals. The market is held every 7 days.
