Aldo Barren

Aldo Barren is a half-elf who has lived in the Village of Hope for the past 30 years. He is the proprietor of Barren's Goods, a general store that serves the needs of adventurers, locals, and merchants alike.   Aldo was born in the nearby elven city of Yitir, but he left at a young age to travel the world and seek his fortune. He spent many years working odd jobs and honing his skills as a merchant, eventually settling in the Village of Hope to establish his own business.   Despite his gruff exterior, Aldo is a fair and honest merchant who takes pride in offering quality goods at reasonable prices. He is known for his no-nonsense approach to business and his willingness to haggle with customers to a point. However, he can be difficult to deal with if insulted or if he suspects someone of dishonesty.   Beyond his business acumen, Aldo is a man of many talents. He is skilled in carpentry and has built and repaired many of the structures in the Village of Hope. He is also an accomplished hunter and fisherman, often supplying his store with fresh meat and fish from his own hunts.   Aldo's 17 year old assistant, William Treefellow, is like a son to him. Aldo took William in when he was orphaned as a child and has raised him as his own. William is eager to learn the trade and has proven himself to be a reliable helper in the store and in other aspects of village life.   Despite his age of 62, Aldo shows no signs of slowing down. He takes pride in his work and is dedicated to providing the best service possible to his customers.
