Gruden Kegjaw

Gruden Kegjaw is the master blacksmith and proprietor of The Iron Gauntlet, a renowned blacksmith shop located in the Village of Hope. Born and raised in the Dwarven Kingdom of Strombard, Gruden learned the art of blacksmithing from his father, who was a master craftsman in his own right. Gruden's passion for blacksmithing runs deep, and he takes pride in his workmanship. His skill with the hammer and anvil is well known throughout the land, and his creations are highly sought after by adventurers, nobles, and even royalty. He has an eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality, which is reflected in the finished products that come out of his forge.   Despite his gruff exterior, Gruden has a kind heart and a deep sense of loyalty. He takes great care of his apprentices, and is always willing to share his knowledge with those who show a genuine interest in his craft. He is a patient teacher, and is known for his ability to bring out the best in those under his tutelage.   Gruden's life has not been without hardship. He bears a terrible burn scar on the left side of his face, the result of a tragic accident in his youth. Though he does not like to talk about the incident, rumors abound as to what actually happened. Some say it was a run-in with a dragon, while others claim it was a simple forge explosion. Whatever the cause, the accident left Gruden with a permanent reminder of the dangers of his trade.   Despite the physical and emotional scars that he carries, Gruden remains committed to his craft. He is a perfectionist, always striving to create the perfect piece of armor or weapon. His dedication to his work is evident in every item that comes out of his forge, and his customers know that they are getting the very best when they purchase from The Iron Gauntlet.   In his rare moments of downtime, Gruden enjoys a good cup of tea and the company of those who share his passion for blacksmithing. He is a private individual, however, and does not discuss his personal life or his scar with anyone. To those who know him, he is a master craftsman, a loyal friend, and a true artist in his trade.
