The eponymous Spheres of the Dancing Spheres, each is a world into itself. Small planets that are divinely balanced to share four orbits around the same sun, the Dancing Spheres hosts thousands of cultures and peoples. Because of their size, their horizon is one mile away on flat terrain. Almost each Sphere was Cursed during the Godswar. Each Curse shapes its people and societies.
Once every Sphere was connected to every other Sphere through the Golden Path network. However, they fell prey to the destruction of the Godswar and only 17 remained. Those were the least used, the least likely to be a front in the Godswar. Since then they were unused before the Godswar, they were forgotten by the survivors. It was centuries before they were rediscovered. By then they were inhabited by the enigmatic Pathkeepers. Once discovered however, they became vital centers of trade and migration.
