Curse of the Sea

The most obvious Godswar curse as the land is perpetually sinking beneath the waves. Even now the sea level continues to rise, but the increase is linear so by the Protectorate Era it is imperceptible.

However, its name is a misunderstanding of the Curse. The curse actually is the Elemental Fonts, portals to the Elemental Planes that dot the landscape where Elemental Energy pours through. The most obvious effect of this is the rising seas but it also causes rampant vulcanism, random islands rising from the sea, strange winds, and terrible storms.

Astrological Effects

While the Thousand Seas are in the sky elemental magic is easier to cast and its effects can be heightened. Elemental creatures are empowered as well.
