Magpies
Structure
The Magpies are a loosely connected network of scavengers with a penchant for rare items and dead adventurers. They seem to appear out of nowhere along dangerous roads and around areas of poor repute. While it is suggested that they have territories where they operate, others suggest seeing the same magpie in multiple different locations during travel.
Culture
The magpies follow the glint of anything that glows or sparkles. No weapon, acessory, or shiny chunk is beyond their grasp and once they have hold of it, the item is as good as gone. The Magpies are known to trade for coin but also engage in bartering. While it seems they are somewhat aware of the potential of their items they have an affinity towards item appearance rather than function and gladly trade a powerful item for one that looks better to their tastes.
Public Agenda
The purposes of the Magpies are completely enigmatic. They have not been spotted during any major conflics, save for the aftermath, and have no reputation of combat or economy. Their only known devotion is their worship of Gideon the Faceless as their patron deity.
