The Magpie is the name of a mysterious wanderer who wears a beaked mask and a cloak of black feathers. Many see this person only in passing, usually standing as if frozen in place by some unseen force. Little is known of this enigmatic person, if they even are a person. What is known is that they happen to come into posession of extremly powerful magical artifacts way beyond their station. They are the bane of the Menagerie of Recall and have gotten into sever spats with religious and military groups because of their possession of certain items. However, they are not wholly unreasonable and it is said that some of the best fighters in the land actually managed to do buisness with The Magpie, supplying them with some of their most iconic arms.
A scavenger? Yes. A theif? also yes. A lunatic? Maybe. One thing is for certain, they love all that glitters.
