Supragercia
The Supragercia is a vast, supernatural realm suspended high above the surface of Aemaphia, an endless skyscape of floating islands, drifting cloud oceans, and airborne civilizations. Here, colossal landmasses of enchanted stone and soil defy gravity, teeming with verdant forests, cascading waterfalls, and towering spires that seem to reach for the heavens. Strange and wondrous creatures, adapted to life in the open sky, soar through the boundless expanse, while fleets of airships glide along well-worn trade winds, connecting skyborne cities, cloud-built castles, and celestial gateways to realms beyond. Magic saturates the very air, shaping the landscape and allowing life to thrive in the most impossible of places, from islands wrapped in perpetual storms to crystalline plateaus basking in the cosmic glow of distant stars.
The geography and climate of Supragercia are defined by three distinct atmospheric layers. The Tropovelum, the lowest layer, is closest to the surface world, where floating islands are most abundant, their ecosystems lush and diverse. Here, waterfalls spill into the clouds below, and vast aerial rivers weave between skybound landmasses, nourishing strange hybrid forests. Above it lies the Stratevelum, an endless sea of clouds where massive airborne creatures glide effortlessly, and islands are more isolated, buffeted by powerful winds. This is the domain of great skyships and ancient cloud-built citadels, where storms and lightning are as common as tranquil, golden sunlit voids. At the highest reaches is the Apicevelum, an ethereal, frigid expanse where islands grow rare and thin, suspended on nothing but sheer magic. Here, the air is laced with shimmering auroras, and the fabric of reality begins to blur, with celestial gateways opening into unknown dimensions. Few venture this high, for the cold is unrelenting, the winds razor-sharp, and the beings that dwell here are unlike anything found in the lower realms.
The flora and fauna of Supragercia are as diverse as its landscapes, with many species evolving to thrive in an environment where gravity is less a rule and more a suggestion. Gigantic sky-serpents and manta-like leviathans drift lazily through the cloud seas, while flocks of feathered, finned, and even crystalline creatures weave through unseen currents. Some floating islands are covered in vast forests of aetherbloom, a plant that absorbs magic from the air, while others boast towering skywood trees, their roots grasping at nothing but mist. Magical resources are abundant, from stormglass, a translucent crystal formed within the heart of lightning storms, to aerostone, a mineral that defies gravity and is essential for the construction of airships. Perhaps most mysterious are the Celestine Gates, ancient, shimmering portals scattered throughout the highest reaches of the Apicevelum, rumored to lead to distant stars, forgotten worlds, or realms beyond mortal comprehension.
