The City is Burning

Dear Journal,
 
The plot thickens. We confirmed that the Gazel, (the freaky ultra-advanced Warforged) knows where we are and had the black box from the Starfire delivered to us. This confirms that there is a mole in the Black Axel cartel. Why did it send us the plans to what seems like a weapon? Why is Xoya seeing it in her dreams? Can it really use souls for power? Why is everything in my life suddenly so weird?
 
What is clear is this. The fighting near the shore of the eastern peninsula near the scorpion tale mountains can't be a coincidence. The BRN stands to gain trade routes that don't go through the Black Axel. This war was declared too quickly, someone has planned this for a while. We need to follow the money, the power, and figure out who this "fourth party" is.
 
Now we are waiting to meet more mysterious party members and planning to wrestle some sort of weapon from it's creator before the BRN gets their hands on it. No problem with motivation there.
 
All while we hear about sky scrapers burning in the city of Alcyon, located in Cambrial to the east. Its the Gazel. I'm getting the impression that he is the Warforged equivalent of a skeleton key where programing is concerned. He can take control of systems with a touch. That seems to be his only limitation. Is it because we could track him if he used remote communication? I'm thinking all this while I realize that tens of thousand of people have just perished. This one machine is turning the world upside down, and unlike the fictitious D, he doesn't seem to have a conscience, although he appears to be sentient.
 
I have no idea what will happen with me and my unlikely companions, but I am feeling more protective than ever.
