Gardenians

Gardenians are the people from the utopian society of Gardenia, known to be a highly advanced civilization in magic & Technology but still retain a respect, love, & will to preserve nature. They are the amalgamation of the original 12 cultures of each Zodiac Clergy many of each migrated to Gardenia after it's construction, the 12 cultures became this one culture where all is nature & therefore the garden, that garden is tended to by the Royal Family, the Olgrim Family.   Gardenian despite being a kind and caring people they don't take kindly to defilers trying to ruin their way of life, those who are guilty of working against this way of life will learn just how brutal, heartless, & merciless nature can be. All Gardenians due to their heartland the Living Wind Woods have Vigor also called Vitality Fallout saturated in their bodies and souls augmenting all aspects of life in their beings & environment. Gardenians have higher Aura reserves than the average person, a high healing factor, and the ability to regenerate, eternal youth, random growth spurts, & resistance to ailments and poisons.   Gardenian healing and regeneration is the reason for their reliance on locally grown and hunted food as they don't gain enough nutrients from normal food, although Gardenian food is valuable to the rest of the world. Their resistance to poison is why they make their alcohol much stronger than normal alcohol although their alcohol is illegal in many parts of the world.   Gardenians have had a long hate towards the Darkin for their attempts to take over Gardenia for their own selfish gain, the Ovalin Raids which left their last Queen Neve & her sister in law Sorrath afflicted with Taphosis, the 14 year war called the Hollow War brought forth much turmoil to Gardenia which ended after the Battle Of Hollow Nest when 80% of the Darkin where drowned in a flood in the 1st. & 2nd. layer of the Underdark and had to leave Gale. Four years after that the Black Garden War, also called the Darkin War, started in an effort to break the Garden once and for all, although the Gardenians won that war by a landslide due to the growing power of Gardenian warriors like their current King & Queen. Instead of a complete destruction of the Darkin the Gardenian Queen Astrea Olgrim & the new lord of the Darkin Morigan Aldian forged the Black Garden Pact bringing their conflict to an end for 15 years though Gardenians still hold resentment towards Darkin which is mutual between the two groups.

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

Origin

  Gardenian culture is one involving the love of nature, eachother, & progression stemming from the culture of the first rulers Ruffles, beinig Valahir & Neve beinig Magnir. They embrace the beautiful & ugly aspects of nature while working hard to progress further and further.  

The Effects Of Vitality Fallout

  Through this Embrace of life, they make a sport out of combat and hunting all to uplift the small amount of them that take up the life of a warrior. They adore the Amourous District within the city to handle the most passionate aspects of life & are a capable people in many Artisan skills due to "Mortal Preservation Act" forbidding them from taking directly dangerous roles they have a Higher insensitive to become skilled in other ways.  

Adoration For Kobolds

  After the pact with House Ashido Kobolds and other draconic creatures where sent to live in the woodlands. These creatures grew on the Gardenians and aided in the construction of the city's infrastructure along with Dwarves, being taught in Dwarven Architecture and made their homes with the same style rather than their own. The Kobolds due to their devotion and being enamored by the woodlands, where blissful towards the Gardenians, being beloved creatures to the Gardenians.  

Respect The Nature Of Beasts

  Gardenians after the Primal Raids gained a fear and respect for the fauna of the woodlands. The people will avoid and be kind to the fauna, never gaining their ire.  

Despise Of The Darkin Defilers

  Every since the Ovalin Raids & the Hollow War, Gardenians have had a grudge towards the Darkin ever since. They nearly killed their 1st. Queen with a Voidstone Bomb, nearly killing her ability to procreate. Lord Ovalin and his House Captain during the Primeval Fall slaughtered many of Ivy's friends and scarred her eye. During the Ovalin Raids they abducted and tortured Gardenians as well as Kobolds as collateral. The Darkin have done so much harm to their people when it was discovered that Gardenia was powered through the souls of the Darkin killed in the Hollow War they didn't really care.

Shared customary codes and values

Respect Those Who Command The Garden: Gardenians believe that those who practice magic revolving around nature are of the highest degree, making Rangers & Druids the most respected people in Gardenia.   Preserve The Garden: These people care about nature just as much as progressing as a civilization, so they'd ensure that their progression wouldn't impede nature.   The Garden Brings Fortune & Life: Gardenians believe plants to be a sign of good fortune and therefore, leave plants all around their homes, make their parks full of colorful vegetation.   Life Over Riches: They care more for their lives than possessions that can be replaced, during attacks they care for getting out alive, so the death toll is all they care for.   Respect & Love The Gardeners: Without the Olgrim Family they wouldn't have ever been given the chance to live eternally with their friends and family, making it a unanimous code to respect the Olgrim Family, as well as other high ranking individuals recognized by the Olgrim Family, knowing there only people but trust them to continue doing what's best for the people.   Respect The Children Of The Garden: Beasts are to be feared and respected due to their high degree of power and significance to the balance of nature, those who tame them are playing with a force as powerful as fire.   Praise Those Who Aid The Garden: Those who aid & protect the people are to be respected and famed as heroes to the people regardless of background, though those who work to tear down their utopia are to be immortalized in infamy & hate like the Darkin.   Nature Is Not All Pretty: As the people of life & the Garden, Gardenians accept all forms of power as there are no evil powers just evil people.   The Garden Comes From All: These people have accepted all of the 12 Zodiac Clergies and religious practices since the inception of Gardenia.   Adore The Drakes: Kobolds are valued and beloved creatures who have been around since the beginning and are to be loved and protected.   Never Abandon The Garden: Gardenians take great pride in their utopian society and won't abandon it for any reason, no matter how many attacks come for them.   Nature's Cruelty Is Just: Nature isn't just sunshine and rose it's balance is brought about through a cycle of death, decomposition, and torment of Nature's children. Gardenians see themselves as those who uphold nature and will be loving to each other but harsh to those they deem as a threat.   Coalesce Nature & Advancement: Gardenians respect Nature and want to preserve it, but at the same wish to progress in technology and magic. Gardenians won't attempt tactics for progression at the cost of nature.   Courting Doesn't Occur In Secret: Gardenians believe that courting & forming romantic relationships don't occur when you can't put your feelings and intentions out there. To gain a lover one must be persistent, confident, flirtatious, generous, & willing to go the extra mile.   Unyielding Bravery & Perseverance: The Gardenian went through alot to bask in this utopian society and they won't abandon it. Gardenians will continue their work & pursuit even if one of their own is held captive.   Those Who Pass Should Rest: The souls who pass should be allowed to be judged by Themis and should never be forced to remain for the aid of others. Resurrection was also taboo as this harms the balance of nature, so the art is never attempted.   Sacred Sites: Sites sacred to Gardenians are not to have combat or blood spilt near them. These sites are like statues of their heroes.

Gardenians are the builders of some of the highest advanced technology in Zodia being close to olympians.

Gardenian Miscellaneous Technology

  • Olgrimion Relay Tower: A large structure built by Neve Olgrim to perform many purposes through it the mechs of Gardenia are powered and commanded, where the atmospheric regulator is station controlling weather, a magic radar to detect the existence of any magic in the city & the casting of spells in the city, control all broadcasts in the city ect.
  • Atmospheric Regulator: A device invented by Nio Olgrim & placed in the relay tower capable of controlling the weather.
  • Magic Radar: Built during the Black Garden War placed in the relay tower capable of perceiving the presence of magic arcane or divine as well as pinpoint the exact location any spell is casted.
  • Pandemonium & Madness: Due to being built on top of a madness settlement Gardenia has access to pandemonium & madness to change genetics to their whim.
  • The Noimosyn: From the reverse engineering of the Stargazer & it's a.i, a device made by Nelio Olgrim was made. The Noimosyn was a top secret device capable of producing sentients a.i used to make Olgrimion a.i like Egil, Logos, Ontos, Pneuma, & Lumena.
  • Sorrow Beacons: Large Xenocryst invented by Neve Olgrim to aid the Onyxians with their political troubles. Through the negativity of sorrow heart it draws in souless, this is used to funnel them into kill zones.
  • Argenite Beacon: A large chunk of argenite that emits powerful light that can reach the entire area of Gardenia used to deal with soulless raids.
  • Argenite Torches: Small fragments of argenite crystals planted around the underground of Gardenia, the woodlands, & the surface it's light hurting any soulless around.
  • Soul Conduit: Secret technology made by Nelio Olgrim through the use of an elder dragon soul. Through this device Nio made the Chayot & later the Soul Razor
  • The Forge Mother: A type of factory built by Nelio Olgrim all controlled by the A.I Pneuma used to autonomously construct more mechs.
  • Orichalium: The same alloy the eidolons used for their infrastructure & mechs of their empire lost to time after the Great Calamity but it's formula was rediscovered by Nio Olgrim. Bearing a copper look, but has the hardness of adamantium & it's conductivity is the best out of other metals & alloys.

Gardenian Alchemy

  The Gardenians due to their environment used the various augmented flora of the woodlands to make alchemical substances.
  • Potion Of Strength: Used during the early age of Gardenia to make kobolds strong enough to aid in construction of the city made from the brawn fern that grow all around the forest this potion has left some kobolds with permanent increase in muscle mass.
  • Scorn Poison: Made from the pollen of the scorn flower this thick purple lethal poison is lathered on ammunition to deliver deadly necrosis to enemy soldiers never on the quarry.

Gardenian Energy

  • The Soul Siphon: Invented by Neve Olgrim to siphon the infinite spirit from Sellfur to power Gardenia although if he left the city would be powerless. Eventually the Soul Siphon went from Sellfur's spirit to the 2,400,000 souls gained after the Hollow War. The Soul Siphon became outdated and recalled after the city started using Stellar Energy.
  • The Star Siphon: Invented by Neve Olgrim built with the schematics of the Soul Siphon and the new introduction of stellar energy the star siphon would serve the same purpose as the soul siphon except it would take the nuclear fusion energy within the miniature stars of ember cores to power the city of Gardenia for much longer than the soul siphon.

Miracle Technology

  • The Anicron: A large device invented by Neve Olgrim to further her soul science with it she could scan & identify someone's miracle, remodel it, copy, take, destroy, & even graph miracles onto another person.
  • S.D.S: The S.D.S also called the "Sigil Defense System" is one of the most powerful miracle technology Gardenia possesses reverse engineering the hereditary miracle Sigils the means of making sigils in any and all locations of Gardenia is necessary. Being connected to an ether core it can induce any ether based effect firing fireballs, ice spikes, ECT. Through it's variant of sigils coming from all users of the miracle the summons of sigils can be vast coming from astrea, nevena, neve, ect.
  • Predator Matrix: Miracle tech made with the miracle of snap a small handheld sigil placed in gardenian artillery making their attacks always score a critical hit.
  • Spirit Amp: A miracle tech in the form of a lantern built from the miracle of Frisk magnifying someone's amount of spirit.
  • Pacifiction Beacons: A miracle tech in the form of a handheld sigil used when dealing with high tension situations. Made from Frisk's first miracle this device can make someone docile.
  • Masquerade Mask: A miracle tech made with Nelio Olgrim's miracle in the form of a mask making people change their appearance once put on.

Gardenian Weapons & Armor

  • Vinecaster: The design inspired by Asterian ropecasters the Vinecaster would serve the same purpose. A two-handed weapon that fired strong razor sharp vines to restrain others typically used to hunt beasts. It had another function that let it make tripwire traps.
  • Thorn Rifle: A heavy crossbow tinkered to fire heavy sharp thorns in either a single shot, burst fire, or full auto. The thorn rifle was typically used by Gardenian hunters to kill their next quarry. Thorn Rifles are fitted with small canisters of poison that are imbued in the thorn ammunition.
  • Ironwood Armor: Half-Plate armor made from wood as hard as iron used for Gardenian hunters & druids.
  • Soul Razor: A secret powerful sword built by Nelio Olgrim through the Soul Conduit capable of focusing radiant blades capable of a variety of effects depending on the symbol on the blade.
  • Will Of The 12: A legendary sword made by the founder of Gardenia the first king Sellfur. A large heavy blade imbued with the blessings of the gods being able to swap between each blessing gaining different powers based on the god being used.

Orichalium Weapons

  Powerful armaments made with orichalium bearing blades and other parts made of solid plasma. These weapons are typically used by the Ovroids but can be sold to huntsmen starting after the Black Garden War.
  • Orich Claymore: Swords bearing a sharp plasma blade capable of cutting through the hardest metals.
  • Orich Bow: Longbows that fire plasma arrows going through their targets.
  • Orich Axe: Battle-axes with solid plasma edges.
  • Orich Spears: Mighty Spears with solid plasma blades.

Gardenian Artillery & Siege Weapons

  • Garden Hammers: The main type of siege weapon & artillery in Gardenia invented by Neve Olgrim large energy turrets that can take other types of ether to change their elemental damage from fire, ice, & lightning.
  • Radiance Cannons: A type of artillery made to specifically deal with the soulless invented by Neve Olgrim. The radiance cannons are made with argenite to produce the light & glass to magnify the light.
  • Shatter Ballistas: A type of artillery built to deal with the Chayot turrets that fire cold rounds to freeze them solid then sonic rounds to shatter the celestial abominations. These weapons were recalled when the Chayot went extinct.

Gardenian Devices

  • Scorn Sprayer: Made with the pollen of the scorn flower a grenade looking device that sprays the lethal scorn pollen in a wide radius.
  • Radiant Blaze: Made from the pollen of the phosphorus bloom, a grenade looking device that sprays the white phosphorous pollen in a wide radius.
  • Hover Boards: A device invented by Neve Olgrim for the joy & fun of gardenian children & adults. Floating boards that move at high speeds up to 120mph but fitted with many safety measures.
  • Vacuum Disc: A domestic device invented by Neve Olgrim that sucks up trash as it floats in Gardenian homes. The Vacuum Disc is a small circular device that can fly up to 50ft. through it's thrusters and atomize the trash it's automated to recognize. The V.D can work for 10 hours until needing to be charged for 1 hour.
  • The Cleanser Bot: The Cleanser Bot is a humanoid bot automated to conduct domestic tasks cleaning, cooking, ect. They run for 10 hours and need cores to charge. They can take verbal commands from their owners and aren't strong enough to do anything other than domestic tasks.

Gardenian Vehicles

  • Garden Striders: The Garden Striders are large and slender vehicles that can hold up to two people, the driver and passenger. The driver controls the strider like a motorcycle that uses combustion ether crystals for propulsion and gravity ether to hover above the ground and elevate up to 60ft. in the air. The striders are incredibly fast, being able to go at 200 mph.
  • Garden Cruiser: The Garden Cruiser is a large vehicle much larger than the Strider having a bulky build that the strider. They like the strider use combustion ether crystals for propulsion and gravity ether crystals for hovering and elevation being able to ascend up to 60ft. The cruiser can hold up to 8 people at a time and has a trunk capable of holding up to 50lbs. The cruiser is much slower than the Strider maxing out at 100mph.
  • Garden Vulture: The Garden Vulture is a large vehicle much larger than the cruiser being even bulkier. They like other vehicles made by Olgrimion used combustion ether crystals for propulsion and gravity ether crystals for hovering and elevation up to 60ft. The Vulture is the slowest of all Olgrimion vehicles maxing out at 60 mph. This vehicle technically has 2 seats but has a larger truck being able to hold 300lbs.

Olgrimion Fleet

A line of flying ships made by Neve Olgrim many models with many purposes, some for battle others dropships.
  • Heaven Nests: The Heaven Nests are dropships capable of carrying large amounts of people up to 300 people and 500lbs. of goods the Heaven Nests are typically used for trading with other settlements. The Heaven Nests have 4 turrets on the ships commanded by a crew of 6.
  • Heaven Spears: The Heaven Spears are larger than the nests and used to protect groups of nests and the Heavenaught in groups of 30. The Heaven Spears have up to 10 turrets that fire powerful energy beams at hostiles. Heaven Spears have a crew of 12.
  • Heavenaught: The Heavenaught is the mother ship of the Olgrim Fleet 10,000 km in size needing the largest crew out of all of the ships up to 500. They were used in large scale battles and capable of a large blast of holy light and force once charged.

Gardenian Ether Technology

 
  • Powder Grenade: Similar to the radiant Blaze & scorn sprayer this device spreads powdered ether in a large radius making any step cause a volatile detonation.
  • Ether Grenades: Made with both ether crystals & powdered ether for further lethality ether grenades are immensely powerful weapons that detonate in a much larger and stronger blast than typical ether crystals.
  • Ether Mines: A variation of the ether grenades acting as proximity mines that detonate when someone gets in range.
  • Ether Spikes: A variation of the ether grenades small sticky ether explosives that can detonate remotely.
  • Gyro Propulsor: Made with large gravity ether crystals at the bottom of floating landmasses connected to the city keeping them floating above the ground.
  • Polarity Cuffs: Restraining cuffs that are made with magnetic ether coming together with magnetic power so strong it's impossible to force themselves out with strength.
  • Polarity Rails: Public transportation made with magnetic ether large adamantium wagons that are taken to other parts of Gardenia through magnetic ether pulling the wagon.
  • Warp Gate: A form of quicker travel through Gardenia made with gravity ether forging small singularities that spin this making wormholes that the people travel through to get to places faster.
  • Vita Lacrimas: Made with vitality ether as a main healing items for huntsmen & civilians alike giving great healing to those exposed.
  • The Etherion: A device invented by Nelio Olgrim to revolutionize Ether production to become the ether monopoly going over the Noblestell Family. Etherion can safely refine ether, turning it into powdered, crystal, & liquid ether, turn it into refined, fusion, & even primal ether.

Gardenian Constructs & Mechs

Gardenian Drones

  • Garden Crows: The Garden Crows where small and fast drones built with an adamantium chassis, uses combustion ether crystals for it's propulsion, & through light ether the drones can bend light becoming invisible. The Garden Crows had a high tech camera which can see everything in 100ft. of them in a 360° fashion, it has thermal sonars to sense heat around it so very few can hide from it. The Garden Crows will often scan anything they see without their knowledge and due to the drones connection to the Olgrim database if the one being scanned is not a citizen a silent alarm goes off and Gardenian forces will deal with the threat. The drones alarms will go off if someone is holding weapons however if they hold weapons while being in possession of a royal crest they are clear.
  • Garden Drones: From the schematics of the Garden Crows came the "Gardening Drones" but were tweaked a bit during the hollow war. Gardening Drones also called Repair Drones would fly through the air at high speeds looking for mechs that have been injured forming a tether with it and repairing any damages & lost component through hard-light ethers.
  • Marl Drones: From the schematics of the garden crows came large drones that would seek out gardenian mechs and produce a hard-light barrier around them protecting them from incoming damage.
  • Blood Hawks: The blood hawks were inspired from the garden crows models but built to prioritize offense & speed while still having incredible defense. Larger than the typical garden crow these drones were fitted with combustion ether thrusters & twin heavy gatling guns on the bottom of their wings bearing anti-personnel rounds.

Olgrimion Legion

A line of mechs made by Neve Olgrim to defend Gardenia coming in many forms but all having ion weapons.
  • Olgrimion Knights: Olgrimion Knights were 6ft. tall mechs that wielded a sword spear & shield, they also have small energy turrets on it's shoulders. These models would come in large groups acting as a group of soldiers making horizontal & circular phalanxes.
  • Olgrimion Champions: Olgrimion Champions were 8ft. tall mechs that wielded twin swords and had shoulder mounted turrets on their shoulders. These models will attack with reckless abandon in front of the knights.
  • Olgrimion Centurions: Olgrimion Centurions were 12ft. tall mechs that wielded twin arm blades 8ft. long, serrated, and used electricity in their attacks, the Olgrimion Centurions has gatlin guns for hands with fire energy rounds at high velocity and damage. These models would hang behind a phalanx of knights or stand by themselves using their gatling guns to lay waste to their opponents.
  • Olgrimion Archers: Olgrimion Archers are 6ft. tall mechs that wielded bows capable of firing focused energy arrows capable of piercing through stone and metal. Olgrimion Archers had the cloaking function and would either hide to get a critical shot or simply remain perched for powerful ranged attacks. They would also make large volleys of their energy arrows that explode upon impact.

The Cybel

  A line of mechs made by Nelio Olgrim with schematics and design of the Eidolon bedlam line of mechs. The Cybel can convert biomass into fuel, an ultra-hard adamantium chassis, & razor sharp weapons.
  • Stone Cybel: A subset of Cybel built to perform mining & construction invented by Nelio Olgrim.
  • Ether Cybel: A subset of Cybel built specifically to mine ether made with Vibratite to safely mine the ether.
  • C16-Soldiers: The lowest type of Cybel ground units that fire from range with their ion lasers.
  • C18-Knights: One of the lowest types of Cybel ground units that attack with their sharp adamantium sword & shields.
  • C19-Champion: A stronger model than the C18-KNIGHTS wielding twin blades to cut down enemies.
  • C17-Cannons: A stronger model than the C16-Soldiers firing at high succession with explosive bolts.
  • C22-Sparrow: An aerial ovroid unit that swoops from the sky to fire from above.
  • C23-Green Bird: A stronger model than the C22-SPARROW firing laser beams from the sky.
  • C24-Black Hawk: A stronger model than the C23-GREEN BIRD dropping explosive salvos on enemy groups.
  • C52-Harvester: A large powerful cybel ground unit that can disassemble metal of other mechs converting it into energy.
  • C67-Destroyer: Larger than the C52-HARVESTER tossing ether crystals as explosives on the battlefield.
  • C88-Bladestorm: One of the strongest cybel units fitted with sharp blades running through enemies with their sharp spike blades.

Prime Cybels

  The strongest type of Cybel which doubles as life-support for a person & can be manned by that person. These mechs are immensely powerful typically having high powered weapons attached to them
  • Onyx Prime Cybel: One of the first prime cybel bearing a black chassis & razor sharp claws.
  • Ruby Prime Cybel: One of Prime Cybel Ruby red and wielding twin shotguns capable of armor piercing.
  • Emerald Prime Cybel: One of the Prime Cybel, emerald green, very agile, & using twin revolvers and laser beam eyes.
  • Diamond Prime Cybel: The most powerful of the Prime Cybel. The Diamond Cybel can refract light to blind others, has cannons on its shoulders & swords in its hands.

Ovroid

A line of mechs invented by Nelio Olgrim made of orichalium the main alloy of the eidolon empire and built for war. Bearing a copper looking chassis & hyper focus lazer beams these mechs are difficult to take down.

Ovroid Scouts I - IV

  Ovroid Scouts are the most plentiful type of Guardian and come in 4 models with their difficulty rising with each model. Ovroid Scouts have a humanoid shape with a spider-like lower body.
  • Ovroid Scout I: The weakest of the Ovroid Scouts, they can fire lasers
  • Ovroid Scout II: A stronger model of the ovroid Scout. This one fires lasers and carries 1 orichalium sword.
  • Ovroid Scout III: An even stronger model of the ovroid scout. This one can fire stronger lasers & weild 2 orichalium swords or one sword and shield.
  • Ovroid Scout IV: The strongest Scout. They fire even stronger lasers & carry 3 orichalium armaments: swords, bows, shields, ECT.
  • Ovroid Stalker: One of the strongest types of Ovroid they have a design like a spider & octopus. They have long durable slender legs that travel quickly, fire powerful lasers, & are relentless in their hunt.
  • Ovroid Skywatchers: An aerial ovroid, they use blue lights to scout their environment firing lasers when they notice a threat.
  • Ovroid Turrets: Ovroids that do not move but rather fire laser beams at their targets either as a powerful single beam or in rapid succession.
  • Ovroid Sentry: An aerial ovroid similar to the Skywatcher but seen usually on the ovroid titans.

Ovroid Titans

The strongest type of Ovroid made in the likeness of animals but bearing colossal size and power built during the Black Garden War.
  • Ovroid Titan - Tornadia: One of the Ovroid Titans built in the likeness of a large bird capable of making immense wind to destroy it's enemies.
  • Ovroid Titan - Magnira: One of the Ovroid Titans built in the likeness of a dragon using flames & lava to decimate their foes.
  • Ovroid Titan - Thanata: One of the Ovroid Titans built in the likeness of a sea serpent capable of using pressurized water on the enemy.
  • Ovroid Titan - Suniro: One of the Ovroid Titans built in the likeness of a worm capable of burrowing & using blasts of sand and glass against the enemy.

Common Etiquette rules

Goodbye: Gardenians say "May the garden nurture you" when they say goodbye to one another.   Sportsmanship & Mercy: Gardenians warriors In the arena will now fight a harmless or unarmed combatant, handing them a weapon if they don't have one. When their opponents Spirit is broken, Gardenians will not attack further attempting a non-lethal takedown. Gardenian Hunters will end their quarry in a quick and painless fashion.   Affection & Nurturing: Gardenians show physical affection to the beasts of the woodlands and city as a sign of good will. When they notice plant life out of place or weakened Gardenians go to fix the damage to show their adoration for nature.   Remains Repurposing: The remains of a Gardenian's Quarry will be repurposed to aid nature, grinding bones and other inedible parts into mulch and other resources for plants.

  • Gardenian art depicts mighty historical battles to be immortalized in history as well as gorgeous landscapes to further love nature. Statues are made of Dwarven Stone and are shaped like powerful allies of theirs to honor them, usually decorated with vegetation.

Gardenian food is quite diverse due to the vigor the plants they grow & the animals they hunt have higher nutritional value than the average farm animal or tomato. Their common gardenian diet is quite varied from bread, fruit, and various meats of unique animals. Higher up gardenians get higher and more unique foods like dread dragon steak, owlbear buns, garden mother.

  • Bloom Burger: A common sandwich made from bloomine. This burger is high in nutrition even higher now due to the vigor enriching the land.
  • Dread Dragon Steak: A popular food made from dread dragons only eaten in certain parts of the world. One of the spiciest foods around those who eat it are known to fall from the heat.
  • Garden Tarts: A sweet pastry made from a lot of sugar, and sweet fruits. It's a popular pastry that the commoners eat.
  • Woodland Cakes: Popular pastries made from a popular flower. Woodland Cakes are green and covered in colored sprinkles.
  • Glutton Burger: A burger invented by Vincent of the Green Glutton. A full pound beef burger covered in cheese, grilled onions, & 3 strips of bacon. This burger has gotten a lot of criticism for how unhealthy it seems.

  • Garden's Embrace: A common and popular drink. A light green drink made with a sweet flower's nectar.
  • God Killer: The most popular and dangerous drink in Gardenia. It earns its name through being able to intoxicate the most resistant people.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

  • Feed The Garden: Gardenian warriors are known to plant their weapons into the ground putting the blood of their enemies into the ground to feed the garden. They also burn the bodies of their enemies using the ashes to feed the woodlands.
  • End The Defilers: Gardenians don't take kindly to those trying to harm the woodlands and destroy their way of life. Those guilty of it would be subjected to harsh attacks by Gardenian mobs. These attacks would be dragged through the streets, beaten, and left in the Primeval to be torn apart and devoured by the fauna.
  • Return Spirit To The Garden: Gardenians in the morning and at night can be seen projecting their spirit into their plant life to give some of themselves to the planet, giving something back.
  • Always Provide A Swift End: When they hunt they never put their quarry through a slow & painful death, always looking for a quick kill.
  • Praise The Garden: When the people celebrate they perform the emote called "Praise The Garden" where they stretch their arms out in a hugging gesture.
  • Bare Your Own Garden: Many Gardenians tend to plants that they have in gardens or outside their homes.
  • Favor The Sword: While weapons of many types where used by Gardenian Warriors swords where the favorite weapon due to the simplicity and nobility of the weapon.
  • Immortalize The Heroes: Gardenians specifically the Dwarves and Kobolds build statues of those who aid the city being heralded as heroes.
  • Appreciation Of Kobolds: The Kobolds of the woodlands while no longer in the work force of Gardenia are so thankful to city that they donate rare gems and ore to city.
  • Respect Those Who Command Dragons: Mages who have a Pseudodragon as their companion are treated with reverie as they tame the iconic dragons.
  • Donation Of Sweets: Bakeries would often leave out scraps of baked goods for the Pseudodragon & Faerie Dragon to consume.
  • Feeding Stray Animals: Many Gardenians feed stray animals they find on the street finding joy and delight in Aiding the poor things.
  • Speak Sylvan To Pets: Many Gardenians feel the need to speak Sylvan to their pets to truly commune with their pets being closer.
  • The Ash Harvest: Every 10 years dead Gardenians are taken from the Garden Cemetery and cremated. These ashes are spread out around the woodlands to become part of nature and make room for new dead.

Gardenians use their blood to craft powerful healing potions that they give to their allies as a sign of support showing that the morbid can be helpful and beautiful.
  • Garden's Prayer: Gardenians when laying their own or another one to rest who has accepted one of the Zodiac Gods they recite the Garden's Prayer in either Primordial or Celestial.

  • Reliance On Local Grown & Hunted Food: Due to the high nutrients requirement for Gardenian bodies these people only eat food that grown in the woodlands or the beasts native to the woodlands.
  • Venomium Alcohol: Gardenians place powdered Venomium into their wine to amplify the alcohol and make it able to affect Gardenians, to regular people this could be lethal.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

Gardenian infants are born in a bed of flowers and Baptised in sunlight water mixed with the pollen of the Sand flower.

Coming of Age Rites

Primeval Proving: Gardenian warriors when they are in their adolescence are sent into the forest tasked to survive for a week, when they come back they are considered candidates for higher positions in Gardenia.   The Bonding: Gardenians who practice magic revolving around nature are placed with dangerous fauna tasked with handling the animal.   Garden Feeding: Gardenian wishing to take up a profession in gardening, make the land familiar to them by spilling their blood on the soil.   Smith's Proving: Gardenian Smiths are tasked with crafting something for their master, if they are pleased they are considered real Smiths.   Mage's Proving: Apprentices of mages as a coming of age right cast a spell with all of their novice might. If the master is pleased they are considered mages to Gardenia.   The Bliss Bonding: A coming of age right for the children of the Olgrim 2nd. House where their children would tame a Pseudodragon in the Bliss Tree within the woodlands.

Funerary and Memorial customs

All Gardenians are buried in the Garden Cemetery, being warded to never degrade, be unable to become undead, & their souls warded from manipulation. Gardenians of high renown are buried in crypts decorated with gorgeous flowers, and kept warded from entry and kept protected from the Ash Harvest.

Common Taboos

  • Harming Nature: Gardenians wouldn't harm nature, as it's heresy to harm the foundation of their lives. Those Who did this were branded Defilers and heretics and exiled from the woodlands.
  • Go Against The Olgrims: To go against the Olgrim Family is seen as insulting, due to all of the good & work they have done to make the utopian society. These people wouldn't be taken seriously and shunned by their peers.
  • Trust Defilers: To trust Darkin is seen as disrespectful to their people due to the war & history they have. To befriend or enter a relationship with a Darkin was heresy and would result in exile. This taboo died down due to the Black Garden Pact.
  • Introversion: Introversion the idea of being content with being closed off to others, this was taboo due to Gardenians having a love for closeness, Familiarity, & Intimacy so to be introverted was to stand against the base of what makes their bonds and society thrive. These people aren't looked at as defilers or enemies but rather hurt, broken, & sick mentally and emotionally. People with these traits are to be aided not punished.
  • Defacing Statue: To harm or destroy a statue is incredibly taboo due to statues immortalizing those who aided them. Those Who do this are forced to fix their damage; if they can't they are exiled into the woodlands for 10 years.
  • Harming Kobolds: The Kobolds are beloved creatures to Gardenians and to harm them is not only ghastly but repulsive. Those guilty of this would be held down while Kobolds took out their anger on the guilty.
  • Harm Someone's Garden: Gardens are precious to Gardenians and many wouldn't harm each other's. If this occurred the guilty's garden would be taken and given to the victim. The guilty would also be cursed to not be able to garden for 5 years.
  • Artisan & Lingual Incompetence: After the Mortal Preservation Act mortals where forbidden from being in directly dangerous positions, leading to them needing to become good in Artisan Tools & studying other things like languages. Gardenians inept in these skills are seen as wasting their time and potential as well as holding back society.
  • Unsanctioned Warrior Life: If you weren't sanctioned by the Royal Family to be a warrior, Gardenians attempting to take up dangerous roles were seen as reckless and a danger to themselves and others being shunned. Many people who couldn't cope with the idea of giving up their profession regardless of the danger, were exiled to the woodlands.
  • Prejudice: To bear prejudice towards others for their race, gender, or sexuality was seen as disgusting and repulsive behavior. These people would be shunned by their peers and treated like scum. After the Black Garden Pact this extended to the Darkin.
  • Killing One Of A Mated Pair: Hunting all manner of beast and monster in the woodlands is fine, however when hunting Owlbear pairs a Hunter is expected to kill both. Owlbears mate for life, not getting another mate even if they die to leave one alive would be to condemn them to life full of loneliness.
  • Slowly Killing Prey: Killing your quarry is supposed to be as quick and painless as possible, the circle of life Is harsh enough without a slow and painful death. Those guilty of this will have their weapons confiscated and be forbidden from hunting for 1 year, be branded as cruel and shunned for such action.
  • Using Necrotic Energy For Hunting: Negative Energy is the direct opposite of the energy that augments life. While use of the energy is fine under other circumstances, to use it for hunting is forbidden, as the flesh becomes inedible, and decomposition of the matter is harmful to the woodlands.
  • Unsportsmanlike Behavior: Competition is a thriving aspect of life & nature, although malicious behavior in Gardenian sports and games is frowned upon. Those guilty of this will be forbidden from participating in future games for 1 year.
  • Open Combat: Combat is sanctioned in arenas to perform it in open populated areas is seen as reckless and selfish behavior. The only time this is acceptable is in pursuit of a criminal. Illusions of combat are fine.
  • Holding Back: In combat to hold back your power is to disrespect your opponent implying that you believe that they're weak. Those guilty of this are considered committing sacrilege to the arena, as two warriors are supposed to fight to the fullest.
  • Repressing Infatuation: It's seen as cowardly when Gardenians can't confess their feelings to another.
  • Cosmetics: Gardenians are firm believers of natural beauty so no matter the blemish they don't see cosmetics as appropriate.

Nature's Gift
  • The Gardenians believe that Spirit is the power of the gods and that they all have their grace in them. Miracles are seen as one of the infinite powers that the gods have & the Olgrim Family's experiments in Soul Science brings them closer to the gods.
Grace Of The Maidens
  • The Gardenians believe that the Maidens are stronger with each other and now that all 4 are allied with the city, Gardenia won't be threatened again.
The Amalgam Singularity
  • As Gardenians continue to breed and grow fueled by the Vitality Fallout many will make Amalgamated offspring. These offspring would be immensely powerful due to where they were born and the many traits of their ancestors. These individuals would have the right to high rankings, and would be heralded as mighty leaders. This would lead to the world being under the control of the Garden and all who stand against it can become part of the garden or become food for the garden.
The Olgrim Prophecy
  • Mortals all bear spirit gaining the grace of the gods and would use this gift to topple enemies of life. One Family of mortals would lead the rest to Victory, starting with a Human who spread his potential to other races making the ones who would make the ones to defeat the grand evil.
The Dark Curses
  • It's believed that the Dark Lands are cursed, and only those with God's blessings can enter and return.

Sellfur Olgrim, The Sword King
  • One of the founders of Gardenia and it's first King. He was beloved by the entirety of the people of Gardenia, hailed as a hero & benevolent ruler. His death brought immense sadness to the entire Kingdom.
  Neve Olgrim, The Snow Queen
  • The wife of Ruffles & the first Queen of the Kingdom. She was regarded as a gorgeous sweetheart, with the brainpower to keep the city defended with her mechs. She made many mechs not just for combat but for domestic, & entertainment purposes.She not only spearheaded the robotics of the Kingdom but also kickstarted the Soul Science of the Kingdom developing the technology that scans, copies, removes, & graph Miracles onto others.
  Kephalos Ghaul, The Garden's Archer
  • The best friend of Sellfur Olgrim. He became friends with Sellfur before the Olgrim Civil War & has been the best vassal to the King. He is known for being "exiled" during the Ovalin Raids to learn how to get rid of them, being hunted by Drow for the entire time.
  Astrea Olgrim, The Sword Queen
  • The first born daughter of the King & Queen and the 2nd. ruler of the Olgrim Kingdom. Astrea Olgrim was groomed to be the next ruler as the crown princess, being trained in druidic magic by her grandmother Nevena at the age of 9. She was responsible for ending the Darkin War with her party and finding the 12 Gemstones to seal away mephiles. Thought to be an uncaring ice queen, was a cold, hardened, but loving queen, who would die for the Kingdom.
Sol Olgrim, The Sun Prince
  • The younger brother of Astrea & twin brother of Luna. Sol Olgrim was born during the Hollow War & trained to be a rogue using twin chain blades. He was a cocky, but skilled warrior & had chaos sorcery in his disposal, being one of the best warriors in Gardenian history.
Luna Olgrim, The Moon Princess
  • The younger sister of Astrea & twin sister of Sol Olgrim. She, like her brother, is one of the most skilled warriors in Gardenian history due to her celestial magic & sword training. She is known for being the one who slayed Verdania during the Darkin War.
Nio Olgrim, The Snow Architect
  • The Youngest child of the 1st. King & Queen, & the CEO of Olgrimion. He is responsible for many Technological advancements within the Olgrim Dynasty
Savaera Olgrim, The Pale Witch
  • The wife of Nelio Olgrim, & known as the Pale Witch. She came to Gardenia after the Iron Massacre and began furthering her necromancy. She became one of the best necromancers in the world, and is a popular person in Gardenia aiding it during the Darkin War with her undead horde.
Lyon Olgrim, The Star King
  • The second King of Gardenia with his wife Astrea Olgrim and one of the most powerful warriors in the city. He was forced into being a Darkin Enforcer during the Darkin War due to his sister being held captive in the Black Citadel. He was eventually freed and worked tirelessly to aid Gardenia & his beloved Astrea. He has shown to be a great partner for the Queen, an emotional and expressive flame to her precise blizzard, gaining fame during the Hel Winter Crisis.
Ivy, The Woodland Queen
  • The Dryad who existed before the woodlands where a paradise & by her permission the utopian society can persist. She met the 1st. King Sellfur when the forest was full of death, freeing her from her dead tree being a family friend to the Olgrim's ever since. She is the reason why the Gardenian people don't have to deal with another Primal Raid by using her Fey powers to keep balance in the woodlands, from the Bliss to the Primeval. Gardenians are sympathetic to her grief, turmoil, & hatred of Ovalin after the Primeval Fall during the Hollow War.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

To the Gardenians there is nothing more beautiful than what's natural. This leads to things like makeup and perfume being frowned upon as it hides natural beauty & Illusion magic to hide your appearance is also taboo for the same reason. Gardenian males are seen as more attractive when they develop a toned, slender & muscular build. Gardenian females are seen as more attractive when their hair grows down to their hips & has a bushy, spiky style to it. Gardenian civilians have very little preference in terms of their partner's race, although the most attractive to them are usually Elves & Haloin while Gardenian Warriors typically look for a partner different from them genetically so that their offspring will be better off. To Gardenians the ideal physique is a slender & athletic build and the ideal complexion is a fair complexion as a pale complexion typically means that the individual is unhealthy.

Courtship Ideals

Due to the people's love of nature it's recommended that the one approaching does it holding high tier flowers and lower tier flowers have a sour implication. Dating is more fruitful to occur in places full of nature like the outer woodlands, a park, garden, or orchard. The highest flowers come from Vital Nest as the greatest romantic gesture. In Gardenian society what works well in courtship is making your intentions clear as well as persistence in your pursuit. This can be done through openly flirting with the one you want, continuing until it's clear it's not going to happen.

Relationship Ideals

Relationships for Gardenians are built on love and support rather than power & status although they still have a need of attraction and reproduction. Gardenian civilians have very little preference in terms of their partner's race, although the most attractive to them are usually Elves & Aasimar, while Gardenian Warriors typically look for a partner different from them genetically so that their offspring will be better off.   Closeness, Familiarity, & Intimacy: To Gardenians being close and intimate is paramount for a healthy relationship. This goes so far as to have memory of your partner's mannerisms to pinpoint their mood, actions, & intent. To many others this seems like obsession but to Gardenians obsession is an aspect of love. This makes illusions and Shapeshifting difficult to pull off to trick Gardenians due to being unable to fully copy someone's mannerisms. Gardenians question the validity of a relationship when the parties involved aren't aware of each other's mannerisms and patterns after a year.   Compassion & Affection: Much like how nature shows compassion through sunny sky's and glistening rivers, Gardenians see compassion as well as affection as a strength in a relationship. This can be shown through either partner giving each other strength and resolve. Affection, usually physical, is seen as a good omen for Gardenian bonds whether it comes from the male or female. To lack affection is seen as toxic in relationships as it's one of the vital glues that holds bonds together and the parties involved are simply going through the motions.   Amour: Gardenian relationships are full of amour and lust that both sides feel constantly due to the essence of their woodlands. Gardenians are expected to be craving their partner constantly as such a dependency fosters love in their eyes. It wasn't uncommon for Gardenian couples to go into the Amour for passionate nights.   Strength & Integrity: Gardenians typically go for people who are honest, brave, strong, & dependable. Partners like that aid not only their relationship through the ease of their skill but the rest of Gardenia as well.   Humourous: Gardenians face alot from enemy forces in a relationship if you can ease the tension with humor your relationship will last longer due to the ability to mask pain and terror.

  The Royal Family that started the city of Gardenia. For 120 years they kept the city flowing & growing being benevolent rulers.  

Garden Blades

  The secret service of the Olgrim Family, Royal mercenaries that are incredibly skilled. They operate in secret but are always around.

Primeval Conclave

  The Forest Elves under the leadership of Ivy. They occupy the Primeval as the Forest Elves dwell on the tops of the trees making huts from the peaks. They are used to perform tasks outside the Woodlands due to Ivy not being able to leave the woodlands without getting sick. The Forest Elves are augmented due to the power of the Celestial Tree Ivy is bonded to, beinig able to control plants & animals as well as an increase in strength, speed, & spirit.  

The Astryon Corporation

  The main energy corporation in Gardenia. Astreon was made by Lyon Olgrim who used the fusion energy in stars to replace the Darkin souls originally powering the city.  

Olgrimion

  One of the oldest Organizations in Gardenian history, originally founded by Neve now run by Nelio Olgrim. Macro Cosmos controls the Technology of the Olgrim Kingdom, as well as controlling other Organizations as part of the Kingdoms assets.
