History

Days Of The Prime

The Living Wind Woods was originally a Primeval forest populated by many Fey Creatures like Wood Elves, Fairies, Sprites, ect. Life was good for those who lived there as the Fey would often trade rare fruits & other plants with the mortals outside but never letting mortals live in the forest as they where dealing with a manevolent city in the northern area of the forest.     They frequently hunted the Wood Elves for sport and turn them into Undead soldiers eventually sparking the "Primeval Raids" where the Fey fought back against their agressors, with their Plants & magic.

The Desolation

As the Primeval Raids continued the evil city sought to put the Fey in their place by summoning immense Negative Energy into the forest. Deep under the forest ground about 1,000ft. below the spell Necropolis was casted although something went wrong. It produced a colossal piece of Voidstone that emitted a lot of negativity upon being summoned this killed everyone within the city as well as the entire forest leaving only one alive the young Dryad Ivy.

Days Of Dead Wind

Due to the Voidstone under the forest it corrupted the forest with Necrotic Fallout that kills all in the forest turning them into Undead. Ivy survived but her tree clinged to life causing her to go insane with loss & greif killing anyone who entered the Dead Wind Woods.     This went on for 500 years until the children of Pib came to aid the forest as they knew it would give them a good name to do something the Zodiac Empire couldn't fix. Ruffles managed to calm Ivy down pushing back her insanity so he could bring back the forest.     During an event called the "Great Conversion" these warriors with an artifact fought off legions of Undead, beinig positioned in the right way to convert the Voidstone into a Heartstone. This brought forth Vitality Fallout in the forest, allowed life to grow & flourish, and cured Ivy's insanity. As thanks Ivy granted the warriors permission to build ontop of the ruins of their agressors city after all with it converted into something greater the scars and reminders will become dull.

Days Of Revitalization

As life returned to the forest, the people that came to dwell in the utopian society of Gaia Deep, where allowed to venture out into the forest as the new forest guardian wanted to bond with the other life of her home.     Ivy would then go into a hibernation state to fully repair herself in body & mind leaving the Fauna to their own devices.

The Primal Raids

As Ivy slept the Fauna of the forest went uncontrolled and began to dwindle the population of the mundane Fauna & even attack denizens of Gaia Deep for food leading to many deaths primarily Kobold deaths. This maid the city retaliate against the beasts causing many animal deaths via a milita lead by Kephalos Ghaul.     Once Ivy woke up fully healed she saw the bloodshed made by her animals & the cities warriors and she & the King made a pact which split the forest into 2 halves one for the mundane life & the other for the exotic deadly life     This even made a great tradition called the Great Hunts as every 5 years when the population of deadly life is stable warriors from Gaia Deep will participate in hunting games. This also led to 500 Wood Elves coming to live in the Primeval with Ivy.

The Hollow War

During the War for Gale's Underdark Ivy was in full support of the conflict as it mitigated the attempts of raids on her home, she spared many animals & plants to aid the king. This marked her as a target as her Forces where incredibly effective as scouting, communication, combat, & guerilla tactics.   House Ovalin worked to eliminate the threat that was the Dryad Ivy, they would use poisons, mass fires, & even Mind-Control to combat her. The final nail in the coffin was when Lord Ovalin and his trusty Paladin slayed all of the Wood Elves & 60% of the fauna of the Primeval in an attack called "Primeval Fall". The war was won by Gaia Deep by the end but the loss of life was done.

The Woods Rise

After the Hollow War life in the forest grew again, as the people, animals, & plants grew to their former strength life was normal in the woods. Although Ivy now gets irritated at the sight of fire & the mentioning of Ovalin, & has a deep mistrust towards Dark Elves.     The people of Gaia Deep frequently go to the forest to rest, forage, or interact with animals. Some people are charmed and beguiled by Ivy to come to the Primeval for their company.

Tourism

People of all races come to the Living Wind Woods trying to gain the same immortality the native denizens posses. People often come to trade the enriched farm goods the forest can provide.     Poachers will attempt to profit from the animals from the forest only to meet a fitting end by Ivy herself. Forest Elves will live in the forest outside the city, primarily in the Primeval.
