Horn of Jisefea
The Horn of Jisefea is a large peninsula in northern Jisefea, on Cilvarth. It is one of the most well known regions on the planet, thanks to its high population and the Golden Leyline flowing underneath its prismatic soil.
Seacos is the largest city in the region, the second most populated settlement on Cilvarth. It frequently trades with populations on the Velvet Islands, using trade currents running through the Sea of Jisefea.
Geography, Location & Climate

The Horn of Jisefea sits to the east of the Rescerine Mountain Range. The region is rocky and hilly, with numerous river tributaries flowing from the Rescerine Mountains, weaving their way through small, tight valleys.
The Golden Leyline flows through the ground roughly a mile underneath the surface. This close to the surface, the ground has fractured and prismatic shards have emerged. In more fragile places, soil has become glassier, reflecting and splitting up light rays.
This region has a mild climate, average temperatures around fifteen degrees Celsius. Cloudy weather and rainfall is common. Magiquakes are an uncommon geomagical phenomenon, when magical surges radiating from the Golden Leyline causes atmospheric and geological rumbles. The ground and air begins to shake, as do the prismatic shards, which emit a painful, high-pitched noise.
Ecology
Like the environment itself, the organisms inhabiting the Horn of Jisefea have been affected by the Golden Leyline. Most plants have taken on a shimmering, iridescent appearance, megaflora adorned with crystalline ornaments not seen anywhere else in nature. Most sessile organisms feed off this magical energy pulsating through the ground. Animals absorb this magical energy as a by-product of consuming plants. Animals farther up in the food web absorb smaller amounts of magical energy.
Vivid apostleblooms and rainbow arums are two of the rarest flowering plants on Cilvarth, both endemic to this region. Vivid apostleblooms and others of its genus are found in higher altitudes, while rainbow arums thrive along the Rescerine River and its tributaries, deep within the forested valleys.
Glitter terns and hog-nosed ferrets are the state bird and mammal of the Horn of Jisefea, despite both being major pests.
Sounds like a lovely place. I want to know more about the glitter terns and the hog-nosed ferrets. :D
