Commercial District
The best nightlife Galendra has to offer is in the Commercial District, but it can be the most dangerous area for those who don't know what to look for. It's long been a battleground, both between gangs and between cultures as off-world influences seep through the streets. But only recently has it started looking like the scene of battle.
What's Here
Where it borders residential areas, stores and restaurants are owned by natives and many have housing on their upper floors. Bright paint and lights adorn every surface they can, and bassy music thrums throughout the night. Tattoo and body mod parlors fill spaces adjacent to cafes and bookshops. Parks host outdoor concerts throughout the year, rain or shine. Deeper into the district, apartments and homes become less common, replaced by concert halls, casinos, clubs, and hotels.
Wyre Rats Sign by Rin Garnett
Closer to the Corporatist District, everything falls apart. Where once off-world chains bled over from the corporate areas, buildings lie collapsed in on themselves, coated in a layer of glittering paint. A chasm runs the length of the district border, marking where infamous Wyre Rat K-Ra placed bombs underground. Hundreds of stores owned by off-world businesses were damaged beyond repair in a matter of minutes, doused in fireworks and paint to make sure they knew why they weren't welcomed.

Who's Here
Prior to the changes of the last year, Cryptix and the Wyre Rats would clash regularly at the Residential border. With Cryptix owning several casinos in both districts, the Rats would rarely be able to do more than stop them from expanding. Recent events have nearly eradicated Cryptix from the region, and the weakend Wyre Rats have attempted to fill the gap. However, the unstructured group has little coordination, nor experience running sections of city, slowing the rebuild process dramatically. The culture war has also paused. Off-world buisiness owners are assessing whether rebuilding on Nisora will be profitable, given the recent upheaval. Some may decide the low cost of entry now will pay dividends in the future. It will be up to local businesses to fill space before off-worlders can claim it, but many are finding themselves short the funds to do so. Either way, they'll continue refusing to serve anyone not carrying residency papers long into the future.

In a room of ten Nisorans, there will be a dozen different opinions on what K-Ra did. I won't add a thirteenth, but her target and timing made a clear statement: We don't want to claim your lives, but we will reclaim our space.

Great summary of the district <3
