Celestials (səˈlesCHəls)
The spire that pierces the sky. The wings that call to Heaven.
Ruling from their inaccessible city in the skies, the celestials have lived in the city of Skyfall for as long as the world has existed. Proud and condescending, this ancient race of people declares themselves as the leaders of all surface-dwelling species. Although they may be arrogant, many surface-races still worship these winged creatures, acknowledging them as the last living proof that gods once lived on this earth. And due to the continued existence of the celestials upon the world, the races hope that the gods may rise once more and speak to their children of old.
Celestials are known to have a very intimate connection to the soul. Their radiant magic is derived from the internal powers of their souls. When Celestials become Fallen, their soul seeps from their bodies, leaving them unable to wield magic. Due to this deep connection of the soul, pure-bred celestials are known to be unable to commit great acts of violence. Hidden in their floating fortresses in the sky, they manipulate mortals through magics of the mind and leave all warfare to their half-breed kind.

Their blessed magic is stronger, but their souls are also more fragile, making them unable to engage in huge acts of violence.- The Blessed. You have proficiency in both attack rolls and damage rolls while using radiant magic.
- Fragile Soul. You have proficiency in deception, but committing a great act of violence (murder, torture, etc) will weaken your soul. This will give you a disadvantage with magic until your next long rest.
Half Celestial
Unlike their pure kin, half-celestials are a mix of radiant blood and the blood of mortals or demons. Since they are not pure beings of light like the pure celestials, half-celestials can commit acts of violence. Due to this fact, half-celestials make up a majority of the celestial armies and are the ones who enforce the laws of the skies.- Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
- Half-Blood. While the half-celestials are not as proficient in radiant magic as their pure kin, their half-blood parentage allows them to inherit one of the racial skills of their lower-world relatives.

Female celestials are most often in places of political power, ranging from simple nobility to being emissaries to other nations. The first-born female archangel is supposed to be the leader of the celestials, but currently, Lilani's throne has been given to the eldest born son, Damasca for unknown reasons.

Historical Figures
The One. Heralded as a large statue of pure granite in the center of the City of Skyfall, The One stands in stoic glory. Once an archangel who defended the City of Skyfall against the combined cruelty of the forces of Fernal. This legend lost their life after fighting against the combined forces of the Underworld's armies. In return for The One's life, the demons were successfully beaten back and remained in the shadows for many millennia. In return for saving their lives, the celestials built a monument to this figure. However, so much time has passed that their name has been completely forgotten, now only known as "The One".
