Eyes that pierce the heavens and force enemies into silence. That see the past, present, and future. Passed through the line of Archangels maternally, the All-Seeing Eyes are one of the rarest Divine Traits and one of the most highly sought after.
Causes
While the cause of all Divine Traits are unknown, the All-Seeing Eyes have the longest and most blood-soaked history. While the trait is passed down genetically from mothers onto their children, the children do not always posses this condition immediately. Only through a life-threatening situation will this threat be forced to activate. Due to this, fake assassination attempts have been placed on multiple Archangel children in the hopes of terrfying them into displaying this trait.
Symptoms
The condition manifests as physical eyes all over the skin of the body. While these eyes are not always visible unless active, the presence of the eyes underneath the skin can cause chronic sensitivity and sometimes even pain in response to physical touch.
The eyes present on the body are able to connect to the visual centers of the brain just as normal eyes would be able to, allowing the trait user to see their surroundings in a 360 degree range. However, extended use of this ability can lead to extreme sensory overload, including chronic migraines, redness of the eyes, diziness, and even vomitting and unconsciousness.
Affected Groups
While Divine Traits can manifest in all forms of the Celestial population, the All-Seeing Eyes are a family trait that have only been observed in Archangels. The last Archangel to actively display this trait was known as "The One" and has been dead for so long that some now believe the trait to be a complete myth.
Cultural Reception
As the rarest and most romanticized of all of the Divine Traits, the All-Seeing Eyes are praised to an almost irreverent degree. It's holders are sometimes even regarded as the communal property of the people, demanding that the trait holder try and read a Celestial's fortune or tell their future.
