Aerodrome
One of the largest structures in Toresta, the Aerodrome is where airships arrive in the city. It is also the place where ariships are constructed. Many of the airships used throughout the world are made in Toresta.
Purpose / Function
The purpose of the Aerodrome is to provide a safe landing area for airships. One section of it also acts as an airship factory, used for the construction of airships.
Architecture
The Aerodrome is a large circular open space with several large buildings use as construction sheds.
History
Airships have only become ubiquitous relatively recently. Until fifty years ago only a few very inventive artificers had constructed arcane airships which would be considered safe transportation by any but the most brave and adventurous. The new techniques in the tapping of leyline arcane energy has allow for the more widespread application of arcane magic to the systematic manufacturing of the arcane airship. Seeing a market for such devices led to the creation of the Toresta Aerodrome, a factory for creating them.
The largest structure in Toresta, the Aerodrome is the source for most of the commercially manufactured arcane airships used throughout the world.
