Sisämeri: The Inland Sea

The large, inland sea of Ihmisen Keh'to which separates the four nations from An'Croílár. Coral shelves and forests of seaweed are inhabited by teaming fishes and crustaceans. Sisämeri is probably the most vibrant and core resource of all Ihmisen Keh'to despite that most have little experience or knowledge of what lies beneath its waves.

Geography

Massive in scale, Sisämeri is an enormous inland sea in the middle of Ihmisen Keh'to fed by the four great rivers of separating the Four Nations with An'Croílár resting right in the middle as the natural capital of The Cradle of Humanity. Much of it's depths have not been explored, but great barrier reefs and forests of seaweed are seen in relatively shallower waters while deep trenches also exist in perpetual darkness beneath the waves.

Fauna & Flora

Fish, crustaceans, mollusks, porpoises, and many more mundane marine animals are abundant within the depths of Ihmisen Keh'to's inland sea. Sisämeri is also where the various local specialties of Ihmisen Keh'to start to mix naturally with giant viscous sea life in the north, sea monsters in the east, dragon-like jiao (flood dragons) to the south, even the west has oddly mutated aquatic creatures from the waste run-off of the gigantic cities of Tír Tionscail. Stories of sea monsters aren't just myth in Ihmisen Keh'to, though actually falling prey to one is rare since most who venture across the waves do so with the powerful means available to them through their individual Conairí - let alone the dominating naval power of Na'Comhrialtas under the Merchant's Guild.

Natural Resources

Oceans are rich in recources, and Sisämeri is no exception. These waters feed as much of the human population as any of the continents' local resources do and is also the source of many resources such as fish oil, blubber, shark skin, and innumerable others. In fact, if it weren't for the inland sea, Ihmisen Keh'to would have a far smaller and less advanced company of civilizations within it's mountainous borders.
