    The Faith of Empire was the flag ship of a new fleet of five ships, with the other four taking their names from the motto of The Imperial Faith. They made use of technical innovations using superstructures filled with lighter than air gasses to reduce the draft and improve the speed of luxurious high capacity passanger transport ships between the continents.

It was a more systematic and better organised body than the separate specialist schools that had preceeded it and its growing reputation was at least a part of the reason why the capital of the Empire later moved to Honirham.

The War of the Three Sisters was the first conflict the Empire had experienced for more than a thousand years and it was profoundly shocking to the citizens who had come to expect the peaceful conditions under which they had all lived for so long.

    Marriage

    Eveline Grace was the eldest daugher of Emperor Omalick and his annointed successor, whilst Jacques Pharon was a famous actor and singer. Their fairytale wedding, complete with a chorus of singing bluebirds and an entourage of cute bunnies and adorable page boys and bridesmaids, was the talk of the Empire, although there were some curmudgeons who just found it all too excessively twee.

It had profound consequences for the realm of Magicians' End in particular, altering the laws of form there, to make new and powerful magics possible and giving rise to the astonishing supernatural intrusion of the Dark Domains.

    Between these dates, the capital of the Old Pale Empire was subjected to a series of meteroric bombardments, instigated from the Dark Domains. The Emperor and most of the senior military leaders were killed on the 23rd and by the 27th, the city had been utterly ruined. In short order the Empire which had lasted for over four thousand years collapsed into chaos, unable to offer more than a token resistance to further incursions.
